Leo's POV:

Percy's alarm woke me up. I groaned and reached over to turn it off. Percy didn't show any sign of being awake. I gently shook him. He groaned and buried his face into my chest. I chuckled slightly.

"We gotta get up," I said.

"Give me just a few more minutes," Percy complained.

"I'll come get you in a bit for breakfast," I agreed. I climbed out of bed, giving him a small kiss on the forehead. I grabbed my phone off of his desk and quietly left his room. I walked to the living room, looking for Amphitrite.

"Oh, hi," I heard her say from behind me. She was walking out from Tyson's room.

"Hey," I said.

"When did you get here?" She walked into the kitchen.

"Last night," I said. Amphitrite gave me a confused look. I took a deep breath. How do I tell someone their child wants to kill themselves? "Uhm... can I talk to you?"

"Sure, what's up?" she asked. She moved around the kitchen, grabbing various items. I fidgeted with my hands.

"So, last night my brother called, and told me that he found Percy walking around last night," I started.

"What was he doing out?" she asked, clearly worried. I heard someone walking behind me. I turned around to see Percy.

"I said I would come get you," I said.

"Yeah," he said. "I need to get up at some point."

"What were you doing out last night?" Amphitrite asked. Percy looked at me.

"She kinda needs to know," I said.

"Know what?" She put everything down and turned to us.

"It doesn't matter," Percy said.

"Yes it does," I protested. Percy crossed his arms. He clearly didn't want to talk about it, but Amphitrite deserved to know.

"No it doesn't. Everything is fine and nothing happened." Percy was getting upset.

"What happened?" Amphitrite asked. Percy looked at her.

"I made a stupid decision," he said. She was waiting for more of an explanation. "I went for a walk to try and clear my head and got to thinking some really stupid thoughts. And I ended up..." He moved his hand forward, not actually saying what he did. Amphitrite was confused by what he was saying.

He looked down at his feet. He mumbled his next sentence. "Trying to walk out into the road."

"What?" I couldn't tell if she hadn't heard him, or if she was looking for more clarification. "Percy, did you try--"

Triton walked into the house. He noticed the tension from the three of us fairly quickly. "Sorry, did I interrupt something?"

"No, I just need to talk to the boys out front," Amphitrite said. We all walked out front, leaving Triton standing confused in the living room. She closed the door and faced Percy.

"Please tell me what happened," she asked.

"For a while, I thought everyone would be better off without... me. I acted on those thoughts. I know what I did was terrible." Percy continued to stare at his feet. He had his fists clenched at his sides. Amphitrite was speechless. She stares at him for a few moments, her mouth agape.

"Why didn't you talk to me about any of this?" she asked.

"I didn't want you to think I was faking for attention," he said. "I know other people probably have it worse off than me, and I just didn't want to..." His voice seemed to quit working.
