Piper and Finn one shots A-Z

V. victim of love

Finn and his older sister Hannah lost their mum when they were 10 and 12, so their dad found new love and married a woman named Sarah. But Sarah didn't treat the kids right, at all. Really bad in fact that it made Finn get anxiety, although prt of his anxiety is from losing his mum. With Hannah though, she didn't get anxiety, but she is there for her younger brother when he has an anxiety or panic attack. Things got so bad at one stage that the two had to move away from their dad and step mum, so their Aunt May and Uncle Richard adopted/took them in. The two have kids, two daughters Scarlett and Mary, Finn's closer with Scarlet and Hannah is closer with Mary. When the two moved, Finn told his aunt and uncle about his dream of becoming a professional dancer, so they brought him to a studio called The Next Step, where he met the most, cutest, beautiful, gorgeous girl he had ever met. Hannah came out to her 'new' family and they except her. It's been three years of Hannah and Finn living with their aunt, uncle and cousins, and also one and a half of Finn having a girlfriend.

Finn's soft when he's around Piper. He learnt that she also has anxiety, and they help each other through the tough times. "What movie shall we watch tonight?" Uncle Richard asked, Finn has Piper over for the night, so the two are cuddled up at one end of the couch. "Hotel Dystopia?" Finn asked, it's his favorite movie series. "Which one though? There's like 5 right?" Hannah asked, "Umm?" Finn thought for a moment, "4? The end of the beginning? It's my favorite one of them all I think." "Wait I haven't seen the first three though?" Scarlett said, "Oh in that case could have a movie marathon?" Finn asked nicely, holding Piper's hand. "Not tonight, but we can watch which ever one the family agrees on okay Finn?" Auntie May asked, the curly hair nods. The family agree on watching the first one, which to be honest Finn is happy about because now he gets to confine them to watch all of them.

That night was rough, Piper was sleeping around the house for the third time, but this time experienced one of Finn's nightmares. Finn sometimes dreams,(no fault of his own),of when him and his sister,(second favorite person in the world. Piper is his number 1), got abused when they were younger. Piper had to calm her boyfriend down at three in the morning when he started crying and yelling quietly.
Dance is today! And Finn is so happy when he has dance! He loves it, he loves his team, he loves dancing with Piper, and he loves the studio head and owner. "Pipes? You ready?" Finn asked his girlfriend, entering his room again because he forgot his dance bag, "Yeah just have to put my shoes on." Piper answer, she was sitting at the edge of Finn's bed, she just sent her brother a message, saying she was awake and leaving for dance very soon! She felt someone sit on the bed, Finn of course. He moved so he was directly behind Piper, pulling her onto his lap and hugging her tight from behind. "Thank you baby." Finn said softly, Piper knew he was talking about last night. She turned around and stroke his cheek and said, "Anything for you buba, I'm always here okay?" She pecked him, "I'm always here for you too, I love you". "I love you too." They kissed passionately and full of love before going to dance.

The team worked on their Nationals routines, including Finn's duet with Piper, which is definitely the highlight of every class for him. Near the end, the dancers are always left alone to do the dance full out because Emily says, "On the stage where you perform, you won't have me or Nick to help you." But all Nick and Emily do is sit in the office and watched them dance like a hawk. As the dance ends, a woman walks through the double doors, Finn tenses, he knows exactly who it is. He goes to Piper and grabs her hand, for Piper this is a way Finn tells her without speaking that somethings up. "What's -" before she could finish, Finn subtitly points to the woman in the office. Piper grabs Finn's other hand, stopping herself from asking, "Who is it?" She sees him start to panic, she rest her hand on his cheek and speaks softly, she recognizes the woman. "Buba, don't look that way. Pay attention to me, us and the team ok-" "Finn?" Emily questions coming out of the office, Piper turns to her, feeling her hand being squeezed, "Please, please don't make her come close." Finn begs in whisper, "Hey, hey I won't okay? I'll try my best!" Piper reassured her freaked out boyfriend. "Finn? Can you come here please?" Emily asks annoyed that he didn't come the first time. Finn looks down at Piper in panic, "I'll go with you. I'm sorry I couldn't keep you away from her." Piper apologizes softly, "Don't be sorry, it's not your fault, it's her's." The blonde replies.
The two enter the office hand in hand, "Oh my god Finn I've been so worried about you!" Sarah exclaims, she's on a mission, one that she'll never get completed. Finn spoke up, a confidence drive in him, "You were worried?" He questions, "Yes! Me and your dad have been looking for you for so long!" "Wait I'm sorry what?" Nick asked, "What does that supposed to mean?" Piper asked, "We haven't seen him and his sister in 6 years - oh is Hannah here as well?" Piper's eyes widen, Finn looks down to his girlfriend again, in even more panic. "I'm sorry but you must be mistaken!" The brunet exclaims, "I'm never wrong! And who are you?" Sarah asks rudely, "She's my girlfriend, and her name is Piper. And what are you doing here?" Finn told his ex step mum, "I'm here because you ran away!" Sarah began to yell, remembering one of Finn's anxiety triggers. "Finn's been here for 4 years now! He's not ran away, I'm gonna repeat your question and ask who are you?" Emily asks annoyed and concerned. "I'm Brynn, Finn's mum." Finn's eyes widened and he shouted, "No your not! My mum died when I was 10! Your lying, please get out of this office!" His shout because a scream at the end, "Finley Oliver if you dare yell at me like that again, I will cut you from this dance team!" Sarah shouts, making Finn lose his breath. "I - I -"  Finn's usually forced to apologize after shouting at Sarah, but he couldn't. Tears come fast, and he runs out of the office. "Finn!" Piper calls after him, running to help her boyfriend.

Tears are still coming down fast like a roller coaster, he leans against the lockers. Begging for this to stop, begging for Piper to get here fast. Begging for the moment he walks back in that dam studio that his step mum is gone. Breathing gets harder, his cries get louder, he tries to breath in and out but can't. "Finn! Finn! I'm here! I'm right here buba."He hears his girlfriend call for him, feeling her hands on his pulling him in for a hug. He hugged her tighter, rubbing his back she starts to speak. "Finn breath in... and out... in... and out." After 10 minutes, Finn's breathing turns to normal, "Hey, remember the first day we met?" Piper asks, when Finn gets his breathing back, just a few calming memories make him stop crying and make him happy. "It was the best day of my life." He answered softly, tears slowly stopping. "And it was the best of my life too."  Finn smiles, he leans out and Piper wipes the tears away, "Better?" The brunet asks gently, the blonde nodded, leaning in and saying, "Yeah, better."

As the pair enter the house, Finn goes straight to his cat Ashley and starts playing with her. "Hi!" Finn exclaims when Ashley stars playing with the toy Finn just gave her. Ashley meows the cutest meow Piper has ever heard. "Hi Piper! Where's Finn?" Mary asks coming down the stairs, with her mum next to her. "Hi, he's playing with Ashley." She points to where her boyfriend's playing with his cat is. "Cool." Mary joins him. "Are you sleeping over for a second night in a row?" Aunt May asks, with a laugh. "Finn hasn't asked me but - " "You can if you want, Emily called me earlier and said that Finn had some sort of a panic attack? What happened?" May brought Piper into the kitchen to explain.  Once the door was start, Piper started talking. "Sarah came by and pretend to be Finn's mum and claimed the him and Hannah ran away 3 years ago and tried to -" Piper couldn't keep it together, she started crying a little and was brought into a warm hug. "It's okay sweet heart. I'll call Emily and make sure she never gets in again. And that's sick what she tried to do, but i'll get on it and try not to worry okay?" Piper nodded slowly when coming out of the embrace, whipping her tears as Finn came into the room. "Hey, what happened?" He asked, noticing Piper's eyes, "Nothing, nothing." Piper choked out, grabbing her boyfriend's hands, "Ooh Auntie May can Pipes sleepover again? Mary suggested a family game night!" Finn exclaimed excitedly, "That sounds like a good idea!" "Babe, you wanna sleepover again?" Finn asks his girlfriend softly, "If I'm not burdening you-" "Pipes, your never a burden okay?" "Okay." Piper breathed, the two leaning in making their lips meet in the middle.
