It was another stormy and windy night at Kasugayama Castle, as the roars and thunderous booms rang loudly in the night.
The sky lit up with flashes of lightning, the air smelling heavy with rainwater and smoke..

They were under attack.

"My Lord! My Lady! Kennyo found a way to infiltrate the East Wing! He's set it ablaze!!" One messenger said.

Through the night, one by one, Kenshin's battlefield seemed to shrink.

He was losing..

'And to a past loser..' He thought.

The fight outside was hectic, chaotic, and loud.

It was complete pandemonium outside.

As Y/N and Kenshin tried to sneak their way to Kennyo, something loud rang in the night, overlapping with the thunderous bellowing.

It was loud, but the gunshot cut through all of it.

Y/N and Kenshin were sleeping one night, to rid themselves of the stress of ruling a one part of his territory.

As they were slumbering, it was Kennyo, the damned monk, who escaped the dungeons of Azuchi, alongside several of the Imagawa.

As the rain poured, and their footprints were imbedded in the mud, they headed toward Kasugayama, the home and centre of the Dragon of Echigo's den.

It was a truly good feeling, to be out and free, but.. It would be only later when his forces triple, or even quadruple, in just a single night.. That he would soon regret attacking..

Y/N POV:

I was awakened from my possibly deep sleep when I smelled.. Smoke..? In the air.

Not taking any chances, I immediately awoke Kenshin, who was by my side.

"What is-.. Is that smoke..?" He breathed.

Rubbing the sleep from his eyes and grabbing Himezurū Ichimonjī and warming up quickly, he soon dressed himseld in his battle uniform.

I myself, did the same, with daggers, a bow, and a customizable fan as my weapon of choice.

As I concealed the two extra daggers and my fan, I sheathed my main ones upon my hip, with my quiver upon my other hip and my bow on my back, I dressed quickly and followed Kenshin outside, only to be met by a bleeding soldier.

"My Lord! My Lady! Kennyo found a way to infiltrate the East Wing! He's set it ablaze!!"
The messenger informed, before falling to his knees and collapsing as an arrow pierced his back.

I flinched and gasped, before I quickly drew my bow and one arrow as I drew the bowstring and let the arrow fly with remarkable precision.

I hit my target, but he wasn't going down.

I let one arrow fly.

Then another.

And another.

Then, with a head full of arrows, the soldier fell to the ground.

I heard Kenshin behind sigh as he cut down five enemy soldiers single-handedly.
