Patrick's pov.

I'm fine, I guess. Pete should be fine. Carly... I'm not sure. Physically, she's doing better. Mentally, she's on a completely different planet.

She barely even comes out of her room. I can't leave my room. I can barely move. I'm scared for her. She doesn't even wanna leave for chemo. She secluded herself from us. She thinks that if she's gone, so is Aaron.

I need her, though. I love her. She needs to know that this isn't her fault. If it didn't happen to us, It would have happened to someone else. In a way, we kinda saved people.

"'Trick, you okay?" Joe asked. His blue eyes showed clear concern.

"Wha-? Oh. Yeah, I'm fine." I tried to hide the tears welling in my eyes. I can't stop thinking about her.

"Patrick," Joe tested. His face showed pure worry and his arms were crossed.

"I said I'm fine!" I spat back. My heart skipped a beat at the sudden outburst. I turned my face away from him and let the tears fall.

"You're not fine, Patrick." Joe pushed. I didn't bother looking back at him. I could his icy eyes burning a hole in my back.

"Joe..." I paused. More tears dropped from my eyes. "I need her back. I need her old self. The one who would scream at Pete, just for eating all the Pop Tarts. The Carly who would kiss you every time you put Doctor Who on television. The Carly that would laugh at the corniest jokes. The Carly who would visit me up in this hell hole and kiss me every time she noticed the slightest sadness in my eyes."

"We will get her back. She is still there. We just need to find her." Joe tried comforting me. It barely worked.

Just then, Andy walked in. "Carly's coming." He smiled. "And Pete is doing better. I just talked to him. He said other the fact that it hurts like hell, He feels like he could bash a face in."

"Aaron's, I hope?" I questioned

"Yes. Who else, anyone got a kill list?" Andy joked.

"Dinkleberrrrgggg!" Joe chuckled which made Andy laugh like an idiot, and me produce a small chuckle.

The door opened and in walked Carly. "What's so funny?" She smiled. That made Andy laugh even harder.

"Dinkleberg!!" I chuckled again.

She rolled her eyes and took a seat next to me. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too," I smiled.

"I'm so sorry I haven't been here. I feel like this is my fault and it's better if I stay away from you." She looked down.

"Nonsense." I replied. "I love you."

The door opened as an unexpected guest walked in. I felt a smile grow across my face at the sight of one of my best friends. "Brendon?" I asked.

"Hey!" He practically screeched.

"Hey!" I smiled back.

He walked up to me and practically crushed my bones. "Kinda in a lot of pain here, bro."

He released his grip on me and hugged Carly. His attention turned straight back to me. "Don't you ever do that to me again."

"What?" I asked.

"Scare the fucking shit out of me!" He looked down. "I screamed at Dallon for three hours about you, you know that?"

"You know what happened to Pete?" Joe asked.

"No. What? Tell me now!" Brendon snapped.

"He saved my life and got shot in the process." Andy stated.

"What?!?!" Brendon began to Panic. ((okay seriously no pun intended.))

"He's doing better now." Carly spoke. She grabbed my hand and smiled at me.

"Okay." Brendon paused before turning to Carly, "As for you, little lady. What's this I hear about lung cancer?"

"I'm Fine. Chemo is helping."

"Still. Doesn't change the fact that you have it!" He gritted.

"Let's look on the bright side. Were all here." I smiled.

"Yeah, we are." Joe smiled. It was kinda nice
