Eventually, Ollivander came out of his own thoughts and began to wrap my wand up for me, but I could tell that there was something still bothering him, he was just trying to hide it as best as he could.

As he finished wrapping the wand box up, he slowly began handing it to me, but stopped and hovered on the thought of the idea. I cocked my head at him in confusion and with a tiny little bit of disbelief in his voice, he asked me a question.

"Do you know what type of wand this is?" he asked, tapping gently on the box with his finger.

He looked at me with a small smile after the question came out. I could tell he was worried about what would happen when this wand was finally permanently handed over to me, and he could no longer assess its abilities. I shook my head in a 'No' response and he nodded gently before leaning over the desk and telling me its information.

"It's wood is Pear Wood. Its 13 inches in length and has quite a bendy flexibility." Ollivander began to explain until he paused and sat back into his seat behind his desk.

He looked at the box and then back at me and then finished his description with a final piece of information that I found to be explainable to the way it felt when I held it.

"Its core is infused with a Dragons heartstring"

I felt my eyes widen in half amazement and half disbelief. I looked down to find that I was now holding the box in my hand, and tightly. I felt the feeling of the wands heat come flooding back to me when I pictured myself holding it once again. I then thought about that night back home when I felt the exact same heat come from my bare hand, no wand needed.

"That makes sense now..." I whispered to myself as quietly as I could.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard tapping on the shop window. I turned around to see Hagrid being the source of it, he was holding the list up and pointing at the final product. A Familiar.

I thanked Ollivander and waved goodbye as I headed back out of the shops entrance door to meet Hagrid once again. We walked into a shop that we hadn't yet looked into, this time it was specifically for familiars only. I heard the owl's hoot as I walked around inside the shop, yet I couldn't manage to shake off the flashback of the night I felt that same heat that my wand gave off, but only, it was my bare hands. Maybe that's why the wand is having hard difficulty trying to understand me, but it wants to, I know it wants to. I can feel it when I hold it.

"You're looking a little dazed there, kiddo." I heard Hagrid mention, I turned my full attention to him and smile, thinking of an excuse to come up with to cover up the fact that I have a wand that doesn't even know me or its own capabilities.

"Just a little nervous, you know, about Hogwarts and all" I smile gently. "Making new friends isn't really my...strong point." I shrug.

I noticed that I was walking on my own at this point as Hagrid was back behind me, looking at owls.

"She's a pretty one" Hagrid pointed, I decided to take a look for myself.

"She is, but, I'm not really feeling a...connection." I frown ever so slightly whilst looking into this owl's eyes. But it was true, I DIDN'T feel a connection with her, not at all.

Hagrid sighed and nodded his head in understanding. We continued to walk through the shop until I heard a soft noise that caught my undivided attention. A soft meow was protruding from the middle of the shop, and I felt my body start to shift its way towards the source. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't stop the idea of being drawn to the soft meows that were now echoing in my head.

Eventually I stopped and I found myself kneeling down to face my caller. I looked at the little detail card on the side of their (may I mention too small) cage, and found that they had no name and she was female. My eyes met hers and we were locked in a sudden trance with each other. Her eyes were two different colours, her left was a fire-like orange and her right a deep, ocean blue, her fur was as white as ice and as fluffy as any animal could ever get. My hand ventured itself to her cage, and looking down, I realised that her paw was exactly opposite but on, my hand.

"It's her, she's the one." I claimed and Hagrid smiled in agreement.

A few minutes later and I was walking out of the shop with a small cat container with the label 'Artemis' across the top and along the side of it in one hand, and my wand in the other. Hagrid politely offered to carry the extra stuff for me until we got to our next and final destination.
