(Harry x Cedric)

-Cedric's POV-

Gabriella had been acting a little strange with me since this afternoon, and I had been sat here wondering why. Every time I smiled at her, she smiled back but I could tell it was forced, and that lowered my confidence. She was a real pretty girl, her long brown hair was always shining when the light hit it just perfectly, and her smile was addictive. I often caught myself staring a little too often, and sometimes I worry if she'd catch me. But in all honesty, I noticed she'd be staring at me often, too.

During the start of Dumbledore's announcement, I couldn't stop myself from looking over her way, and she was just looking straight ahead. I took in her beauty, even from the side of her head. The way her hand rested under her chin and the way her hair would fall over her shoulders and brush the surface of the table. She was undoubtably enchanting and when I gave into looking at her, it's like i'd never be able to pull my eyes away, but I was okay with that.

"I am happy to announce, that the Triwizard Tournament will be being held at our school, Hogwarts this year!" Dumbledore announced.

It was the cheers and whistling that sucked me back into reality, and the pounding on my shoulders and back. I looked up to see myself surrounded by my friends and I laughed and joined in the cheering and clapping.

"Now, we just need volunteers to step up and step forward. Who will be our Hogwarts champion for this years Tournament?" Dumbledore questioned, looking around the room.

"If you think you've got what it takes to prove Hogwarts as the Triwizard champion school, the Goblet of Fire will be awaiting your name, but don't forget, the required age is 17 and above!" Dumbledore reminded

"And to stop any imposters, I will placing an age line, forged by yours truly." Dumbledore finished and there were playful boo's filling the room, which were then changed once more into happy cheers and laughter.

"The Goblet is now open for volunteers! Successful champions will be announced at the end of the week." Dumbledore exclaimed, before stepping down from his podium, and began exiting the grand hall.

-Harry's POV-

Feeling a little disheartened, I began to stand up from my seat and collect my things, until I was stopped by the twins.

"We think we're going to go for it" Fred said and George nodded in agreement.

"But you're only 16!" I commented. "There's no way you'll get past that age line, its Dumbledore's own creation"

"Don't be so sure, Harry!" George laughed, an underlying mischief swimming in his voice.

"Yeah Harry, don't be such a low blow!" Fred mimicked and I felt myself chuckle.

"Definitely twins, you two." I reminded, laughing again.

"No but seriously Harry, ever heard of the Ageing Potion?" George smirked, holding up a small vial of liquid, Fred too, pulled one out of his pocket and waved it in front of my eyes.

"Bloody Hell, you're seriously not thinking about it, are you?" Ron chipped in, his eyes wide with surprise at his brothers.

Both Fred and George pulled out a piece of paper, and began writing their names on it, making it clear enough to be read. And with a daring smirk on their faces, they decided to head for the goblet that was now surrounded by a clear glowing white circle at it's base.

"If that doesn't scream 'you're going to fail' I don't know what does" Ron murmured, as he watched his brothers go.

I felt an arm brush against mine and noticed Hermione was now standing next to both me and Ron, with her arms crossed over her chest and a sly look on her face. She turned to face the both of us and then, her eyes fully rested on Ron.

"I hate to be rude Ron but, your brothers are idiots if they think this is going to work. It's an age line for Merlins sake! It'll kick them straight out." Hermione huffed.

Me and Ron shrugged at each other, and made our way to the front of the lines of people who were watching and encouraging their friends. The first person to put their name in the goblet, was Cedric Diggory from Hufflepuff. Cheers erupted through the room and Cedric nodded at everyone in thanks, I joined in the applause and nodded Cedric on as he made his way up the stairs, he patted my back and walked out of the room with a few of his housemates.

Watching him walk up, I noticed that the group of girls were all standing with each other and hoping to catch Luna's attention, I waited and made it as if I were generally looking around the room.

It was like my hopes got up and luckily Luna looked over my way, with both of us smiling, we waved gently and I winked at her. Looking to the left of her, I noticed Gabriella was looking tense and full of worry, she was looking out of the doorway where Cedric was standing and my thoughts started to work out if she knew something that other people didn't. Even though I don't know some of them as well as others, I knew when something was wrong with one of them. After all, I was friends with them, some more than others, and one I was definitely closer to. It was also brought to my attention that Lex had her hood up this whole time, and honestly, I was curious to why she did.

Being nudged in the sides by Ron and Hermione turned my attention back to the front where both George and Fred stood and turning to each other, they smirked and looped their arms, the next thing I knew was the top was off of the vial and George and Fred were ready to give putting their names in the goblet a shot.

"Ready Fred?" George Asked
"Ready George" Fred Replied, both now placing their thumb over the open top of the vial and shaking it up.

"Bottoms Up!" They both exclaimed in sync.

And down the liquid went.

Both of the twins jumped into the circle in sync, and waited just a few seconds. Once they passed, cheers erupted from the surrounding crowd and they both cheered. They high-fived around the nearest students just outside of the line and once they were finished, they both turned to face the burning blue flame emitting from the goblet.

"Ready." They both said once again.

Both slips of paper were put into the fire, and surely enough, their names evaporated into the flame. Waiting for a few seconds once more, they cheered when those seconds soon flew by, this time, high-fiving each other. Cheers erupted once more.

A voice screamed from the back, and it was definitely recognisable.

"YES GEORGE!" Amber cheered loudly.

George looked up at the mention of his name and kissed the tips of his fingers and pointed them in her direction.

"He's definitely got something for that one, My brother has." Ron whispered.

Just when everyone thought the twins's names were successfully taken into consideration, the goblet suddenly spat out multiple streaks of blue flames, and everyone was forced to duck. Screams suddenly appeared when I felt a heavy breeze rush over mine and Ron's heads and when we straightened back up, we saw Fred and George land a few feet away on the floor in front of us.

When they managed to sit up, both of their hairs were grey and they now rocked the look of a long, grey beard. The next thing I knew, the two boys pointed what looked like accusation fingers at each other, and threw themselves at one another. They wrestled each other and as they did, they began rolling around the floor.

Myself and Ron found ourselves bursting into hysterical laughter at the stupidity of the scene and everyone else seemed to find this all amusing, themselves. Chants began to escape out of every surrounding students mouths.

"Fight, Fight, Fight, Fight!" They all cheered, clapping their hands in rhythm and honestly, I wasn't feeling guilty for joining in myself.

Hermione caught my attention as she sat down, with the look of 'I warned you so' all written over her face, she looked quite disgusted, honestly, with all the chanting. Crossing her legs over, she opened up the book she had been carrying around all day, and lost herself in it, whilst the Weasley twins continued to roll around on the ground.

All the attention was on the twins, until a trio entered the room and all attention was diverted towards them. The leader of the group walked with confidence that deep down, I secretly admired. Noticing that even Hermione was distracted by such a graceful entry, I watched as Krum passed the age line with no problems what so ever, and put his name forward. The flame ate the slip of paper up, and as it did, he turned to face Hermione and offered her a small smile. Hermione looked shy for a split second, before smiling back and watched him as he made his way back out.

Now, all that was left to do, was wait to find out who the Successfully Chosen Triwizard Champions were going to be.
