(Gabriella & Lisa)
-Gabriella's POV-
Today is the first of the three tasks for this tournament, and luckily, I haven't had a bad vision or any vision at all actually about what's going to happen. So really, I was absolutely clueless how this would pan out.
Looking around, I took in the surroundings of the pit and as I looked over the edge of the barrier, I came to find myself looking down at a dragon who, was peering right back up at me. I raised my eyebrows and quickly pulled myself back from the edge of the barrier and for a moment, I thought about what I had just seen, and then shook my head like I was shaking off water. I walked over to a free bench where pretty much all the girls were sitting already and to my surprise, Alyssa had brought snacks and I was living for it.
"Want one?" Alyssa asked, noticing my eyes lingering on the box of beans she was holding.
"Only if i'm not going to get another gross one, sure" I chuckled, planting myself next to her and hoping that it would be a lucky dip, I put my hand in and pulled a couple out.
I looked down at them, and instantly, I swallowed hard. I shrugged my shoulders and began to raise my hand to my mouth but before I placed them in my mouth, I stopped to think about it for a second or two.
'Can't be too bad, right?'
I thought to myself as I studied the different choices of beans in my hand. One was Red, another Pink and the last one, Green. There was multiple different flavour outcomes for these but maybe if I just held my nose or hoped for the best, something good would come out of them. Being sure I wanted to eat them all at once, I took a deep breath and once more, my thoughts piped up.
'Well, Here goes nothing' I thought to myself, and tilted my head back and in went the beans.
Closing my eyes shut, I waited for the most unpleasant tastes to come from the beans, but to my surprise, I felt a rush of sweetness fill my mouth and instantly my eyes shot open, I relaxed my body from the tension that had began building up, and Alyssa laughed as she looked over at me.
"Someone's relieved" She commented, and I looked over at her.
"And i'm glad about it. Trust me, you don't want a urine sample for a bean flavour" I cringed as the memory flashed over me from the few times I had experienced those beans.
Alyssa cringed and shook her head in disgust before closing the box top up and lowering it down by her leg slowly but surely enough, somewhat dramatically.
"That's enough of those for now" she strained to whisper, the cringe still planted on her face.
Laughing, I looked back out and over the pit. I could hear the dragon's heavy breathing from below and waiting patiently, I crossed my arms over my chest.
"SO, do we think that Potter is going to make it out alive?" Draco chuckled jokingly, leaning over and between the line of us girls. Lex looked up at him and chuckled along with him before playfully slapping him on the arm.
"Stop being dramatic, you." She replied, and he proceeded to pretend to put the back of his hand against his forehead and tilt his head back in a pretend fainting motion. Both Crabbe and Goyle erupted in laughter.
Paige was invested in a book she had just started reading and by the looks of it, she was already halfway through to finishing it, too. I felt my eyes widen at how quickly she had read it. Suddenly, I heard Paige whine out and watching, I saw Lex had taken her book from her and whacked her playfully on the head with it.
"Stop. being. boring." Lex said, batting the book gently on the top of Paige's head with each word and shoving it in Paige's bag when she was finished.
Orchestra sounding music started playing and all of a sudden, Dumbledore's voice began to erupt from the area he was located in, I felt my head fly up to listen. Cheers and Whistles began to swarm around the area.
"Attention all students and guests, today is a very exciting and great day for all of us"
As if the dragon's ears were hurting from the volume of Dumbledore's voice, a roar erupted from below.
"Welcome to the first of the three tasks to which, all three do involve a form of dangerous quests and requirements to complete the round to which, will give access to the next two challenges. Each one MUST be completed SUCCESSFULLY " Dumbledore made clear.
"As we WILL be beginning shortly, It is absolutely NECESSARY that you all stay seated at ALL TIMES during this first task. This will minimise any risks that you may possibly be exposed to, so I must stress that you stick to these rules." Dumbledore addressed.
