Yuta could tell Misaki was surprised when she saw that dinner was all ready as she entered the household. "Did you make this?"
"I had a bit of help from my mother." Yuta told her. Misaki didn't seem to believe him though.
"A bit?" The girl questioned. Yuta simply smiled.
"Maybe a bit more than that." Yuta said as he motioned to the seat across from him. "Sit."
Yuta watched as Misaki took her place, picking up the pair of chopsticks he had laid out for her. "What's the occasion?"
"Can I not enjoy a simple dinner with you?" Yuta asked as he began picking up vegetables, placing them in Misaki's bowl for her.
"Nothing is ever simple with you, Yuta. I know you well enough for that." Misaki said before thanking him.
Yuta sighed. She does know me well. Too well.
"I spoke with Taeil yesterday." Yuta told her as he began to eat his own food. "Asked him if I could go back."
"And what did he say?" Misaki asked as she kept her focus on the food, avoiding his eyes. She's hurt.
"He said I could, as long as I got approval from the Werewolf Alpha." Yuta informed her.
"You went to see him today, didn't you?" Yuta nodded. "What did he say?"
"He said I could go. He has more than enough help here and the kitsunes seemed that have transitioned well into this village. There's no need for me here." Yuta said.
"You're going back then, aren't you?" Misaki said, bitterness in her voice.
"Yes, I am." Yuta said before adding, "but that's not why I made this dinner."
"Then why?" Misaki asked as she placed her chopsticks down. "Please, enlighten me."
Yuta tried his best not to smirk as he saw how pissed Misaki looked as she stared right into his eyes.
No need to get so mad just yet.
"I want you to come with me."
...
Taeyong sunk in his seat as he stared at the male across from him. He was very disappointed that Jaehyun had went behind his back to go visit the Phoenix Kingdom, but a part of him was just relieved that the group had returned safely. This meeting though, the one that Sora wanted him to organize... it concerned him.
"Did she say why she wanted it?" Taeyong asked. Jaehyun shook his head.
"She didn't tell me anything." Taeyong noticed the pained expression on his face and decided to cut Jaehyun some slack.
"Well, thank you." Taeyong said to him. "You can leave now."
"You're not mad?" Jaehyun decided to ask. You're making this very difficult for me.
"As of right now, no I'm not mad. Just disappointed. I'm just glad you all cam back in one piece. Stay here for a bit longer and that might change."
Thankfully, Jaehyun was smart enough to immediately get up after those words. "I'll see you later, hyung."
Taeyong nodded as Jaehyun left the office. Once the door was closed he let out a deep sigh.
Taeyong grabbed the phone from his pocket, glancing at his most recent messages.
Taeyong let out a deep sigh as he decided to call the contact that he last messaged, placing the phone beside his ear.
"Hello?" The female voice said from the other side of the line.
