Stupid phoenixes.

Jisung used his powers to take out as many phoenixes as he could, but their fire powers made it extremely difficult.

Alongside him, Chenle was shooting them down with his iron bullets but it seemed as though it wasn't helping.

"Why do they keep regenerating?" Chenle asked to no one in particular.

"It's a spell." Jisung realized. "Like Dongwook's."

Chenle froze too as he recalled their initiation mission, when Dongwook was under a special spell, making him more difficult to defeat that usual. "So what do we do now?"

"Hey!" The two boys turned around to see Jimin and Naeun there.

"We're going back to camp." Jimin informed them. "They're figuring out what to do there."

"What about the phoenixes?" Jisung asked.

"Let the others deal with it." Naeun told them referring to the rest of the army. "They'll be fine, they were trained well."

Jisung exchanged looks with his best friend who only nodded his head, signalling that he agreed that they should go.

"Alright, let's go."

...

Aish, this is so frustrating, Minjee thought as she ran ripped through book after book, trying to find the spell that was casted on the phoenixes.

Johnny and Ten had captured a phoenix, holding the poor creature captive at the camp. They had questioned him but all he could remember was some words of the spell, which wasn't much for Minjee to go off of.

Minjee had travelled back to her home, going through her late mother's study, in hope of finding the spell. If she could find the spell, she could figure out how to defeat the phoenixes.

"How do you even read this." Minjee heard Sungchan mutter. The werewolf was kind enough to join her, but the poor male was no help, aside from passing Minjee the next book and putting the previous one back.

"It's a skill." Minjee replied passing him the book she had just finished. Sungchan passed her the next one but she shook her head. "This is no good, we won't be able to find it."

"That's because it's here."

Minjee and Sungchan whipped their heads around to see Renjun standing there with a book in hand. When did he get there?

His face had no hint of emotion as he tucked the book under his arm. "Come on, let's go. You two already took long enough. Jiwoo's waiting outside and there's still a battle going on."

"What's his problem?" Minjee heard Sungchan mutter under his breath as Renjun headed out of the study. Minjee simply shook her head.

"He's always like that around me." Minjee told the male as she grabbed his arm, lightly tugging it.

"Well he needs to calm down." Sungchan replied as the two began making their way out. Minjee shrugged her shoulders.

"He's right though. We should probably hurry up so we can figure things out." Minjee said to him.

"Whatever." Sungchan said as they caught sight of Jiwoo and Renjun right outside the study, Renjun shooting the two of them a glare.

...

"What's up with you?" Haechan whispered as Renjun plopped the book down on the table inside the tent, passing the translation he had written to Kun.

"Those two." Renjun replied, crossing his arms and motioning his head to where Sungchan and Minjee stood, patiently waiting for futher instruction. "Can't believe she's moving on already."
