at this point in the trip the awkwardness was through the roof when ever i came into contact with johnny, lauren made sure that i wouldn't see him as much as she could but it was kinda hard considering our rooms were opposite each other

it was the first full day at the cottage as we had gotten here late last night and went to sleep almost immediately

"ok kenz, whats the plan for today"
lauren asks joining me on the deck over looking the stunning view of the lake

"oo can we go on the boat"
i squeal excitedly, i haven't been on the boat in years

"yeah sure but johnny will have to be there cause he's the only one that can drive the boat other then father dale"

i roll my eyes as lauren mentions johnny

"kenz"
lauren says getting my attention

"yes laur"
i laugh at the soft voice she used

"why are you angry at johnny"

i take a minute to think about what she had said, why am i angry at johnny i replay in my head

"he was the only one i ever told about my dad and now everyone knows"

"you don't actually think he told nadia?"
she asks which makes me think

"i don't know laur, i hope he didn't but who else would've"
i look down at the floor upset

lauren walks over to me and rubs my back before her mood completely changed and i heard a couple giggles come from her

"none of this being sad business were on holidayyyyy"
she says adding extra explanation on the word holiday before grabbing my hand and the 2 towels next to me and pulling me out of our room and out to where johnny and hayden were on the boat

"johnnnnnyyyyy"
i hear a faint whine

"JOHNNY"
i quickly jolt up before slamming my head into something very hard

"what the fuck"
i say rubbing my head adjusting my eyes to the bright light

"ow, anyways what are you guys doing your gonna get skin cancer laying out here for that long"
i notice lauren standing next to me blocking the sun from my eyes and kenzie standing shyly behind her

"oh shit man we fell asleep... hayden?"
i look over at hayden who is still sleeping some how

"HAYDEN"
i push him lightly but i guess it wasn't as light as i thought cause he rolled over and off the boat and into the water

"shit"
i quietly say

"thanks bud"
hayden says pulling himself up and out of the water, i nod my head up feeling guilty for what i did

"anywayyys can you drive us around on the boat"
she says smiling with her head turned

"you just said we've spent enough time in the sun, can't risk damaging our skin anymore"
i smile seeing lauren's expression change from happy to annoyed and i see a small smile from kenzie as leo runs up to her

"johnny stfu, look leo wants to come"
she says gesturing to leo who is being held by jenzie

"haha ok but not for too long"

as hayden leo and i sit at front of the boat in the shade i notice kenzie happy for the first time this trip, i thought about how fun these trips used to be when we were younger if only nadia didn't come into my life and ruin everything

"ugh i hate nadia"
i say to hayden whose watching the 2 girls jump and swim in the water

"i know, so do i"
he agrees not taking his eyes away from the water

"do you reckon i should talk to kenzie tonight"
"about everything"
i add

"now or never my guy you may as well, it's been long enough"

"yeah ok i will"
