Astrid slowly crept down into the ship, keeping both her eyes and ears on the lookout. Her body tingled with anxiety, as every step she took made a horridly loud THUD that echoed the room. The first room seemed to be filled with jail cells, metal bars locking in all prisoners. However, none of these skinless inhabitants seemed to be Hiccup.

She had previously asked Toothless to remain outside, and focus on guarding the entrance to the ship, in case any of the Vikings decided to try and sneak onto the ship after her. He didn't appear to be very happy, but complied anyways, trusting in her skills and abilities. She could hear him circling the ship, checking for anything out of order.

She noticed one room in particular. Instead of another empty cell, piles of gold filled the room. Loose gold coins, towered gold coins, gold chalices, everything imaginable - that was gold. Instead of the metal gates being shut, this door was open, and widely open. Her skin tingled further.

Hiccup... she thought. She wanted to rush straight inside the cell and look for Hiccup, but a sixth-sense of hers informed her that going inside... may not be the best idea, if the dents on the edge of the door and the knocked over gold items could tell her anything.

She edged carefully around the rest of the room of jail cells and headed to the next room. Inside was another mostly empty room, with two cages on either side. The cage to the left was empty, aside from a few loose cobwebs and unused chains. Astrid walked over and took a quick glance at it before deciding there was nothing worth investigating. She deeply sighed and pressed her hand against the cold metal.

"Oh Hiccup... will I ever find you?" She asked herself.

Gently releasing the cold metal from her tight grip, she turned around to face the other jail cell. She paused.

"... I guess I just did."

Peering into the other cell, she saw that... it actually wasn't a cell, but a hidden staircase going further down into the ship.

Hiccup had to be in there, she just knew it.

---Elsewhere---

Stoick finally beat back the remaining Vikings on the last ship.

"We did it! Release the dragons!"

With a cheerful cry, the Berkians swarmed into the deck and below the ship, releasing dragons from many different cages. As the wonderous colours swished past, Stoick found himself watching them gracefully fly through the evening sky.

As they flew past the ship this 'A' person had went to, Stoick started looking at the ship harder, and with deeper concentration. Something just didn't seem right.

Wait...

Was that Toothless?!

---Elsewhere yet again---

"Urgh, argh..." Hiccup muttered, as his wrists burned against the rough rope they were tied together with. Between his tied wrists and his back there was a metal pole - part of a cage he was stuck in. They were already bleeding slightly, but Hiccup couldn't afford to give up. Instead of his feet being tied together, his metal leg was tied to a different metal pole of the cage.

His free foot really hurt - and seemed to be swollen. His forehead furrowed, as he strained to remember what happened after he entered that gold-filled room...

The room seemed to tilt as soon as he stepped foot inside. A loud clang from behind him urged him to spin around and watch the door shut, sealing his fate. After sending Toothless away, he searched for a way out, finding nothing. In fact, he found less than nothing, since he knocked over a large stack of gold items, painfully trapping his right leg under them. He tried to break free but instead his flailing hit another stack, and they fell on his head, knocking him out.

Right, that was what it was. Hiccup gently felt his head, luckily not feeling any lumps or pain. Hmm... if only his ankle wasn't hurt, he could try escaping but for now he's just going to have to trust Toothless and Astrid to save him.

A loud, echoing, repeating thud caught his attention. Hiccup slowly lifted his head, only to meet eyes with Dagur, who mockingly crouched to his level and tapped his cheek.

"Oh dear brother, I can see the fear in your eyes..."

He laughed.

"Save it for later, we still have a lot of fun to do."

Okay new chapter is out. Finally.

I'm genuinely really sorry, but hopefully I only have a couple chapters left to write. I hope none of you have been waiting too long, but I can't promise anything more than that I WILL finish this story - I just don't know how long it will take.

Have a great day guys - and hopefully I'll see you soon.

But for now...

Peachy out! 😊
