Courtney

We were about five minutes away from the airport. May and I were talking about every boyfriend we have been through.

"Yeah, I have dated a guy name James Stafford, then he broke up with me so I started to date Adam. We broke up and I almost dated my best friend Charlie but I said no instead." I stated.

"Oh, wow. So, how many guys liked you back when you were a teen?" May asked.

"Well, there was Adam, James, Les, Aaron, Dwayne, McGill, Charlie, and I think that all." I replied. She nodded.

"Wow. Make sure while you're down there that you don't break any boys hearts." I started to laugh.

"I'll try not." May smiled. She pulled in to the drop off station. She parked the car and we both got out. She popped the trunk opened and got out my bags. She looked at me.

"Have fun, okay?" I nodded, trying to not cry and to keep my cool. "And call me often, I wanna know what's goin' on." She said. I smiled and we hugged. I'm really going to miss May.

I was finally off the plane. Glad too, the guy next to me was snoring real bad. Once I got off the plane, I went straight to baggage claim and got my bag and started to look for Charlie.

Where could he be?

"Courtney!" I heard someone yell. I looked over and saw a handsome guy waving at me. I started to walk toward him. The closer I got to him, the more I recognized him.

It was Charlie.

I literally drop my bags on the floor and ran as fast as I could to him until I flew into his arms. I hugged him so tightly. We finally let go after about a five minute hug. I looked at him. He looked grown up and handsome.

"Charlie." I whispered. To tell you the truth, I was tearing up. He smiled.

"You look absolutely beautiful." Charlie sighed. I smiled.

"Thanks. You look really good." I started to look at Charlie more. He smiled.

"Let's go get your bags. You can stay at my place until we get our dorms." He stated. I nodded.

"Sounds great." We walked over and got my bags and started to walk to his car.

"So, what have you been doing ever since you moved?" Charlie asked as he lifted up my bag.

"Well, I started to play for a hockey team in Tennessee when I was fifteen years old. But, I didn't like it, so I stopped. Then, when I turned sixteen years old, I started workin' because Dad fell ill and he couldn't work so I had to work for him.

Dad died a couple months ago. My step-mom kicked me out of the house too because she doesn't like me anymore so I moved in with my best friend May." I explained. I looked up at Charlie and saw him staring at me with shock.

"I'm so sorry, Court." Charlie apologized. I shrugged.

"It's fine." I sighed. We finally got out of the airport and we started to head over to the car. "Yeah. So how have you been?"

"Great. The team can't play Pee Wee hockey anymore so we have been playing street hockey with Coach. Adam hasn't though. But, I have been hanging out with him a lot." Charlie replied as he started to dig in his pockets for his keys. We stopped at his car.

"Really? How's Adam? Is he okay?" I asked. Charlie finally got his keys out of his pocket and unlocked the doors.

"Yeah, he's good." Charlie replied. He opened the door for me.

"Thanks." I climbed in and sat down. Charlie closed the door. I threw my carry on in the backseat. Charlie opened the trunk and put my bag in the trunk, then closed it. He walked over and climbed in the drivers seat. He started the car, and we started to head out.
