Courtney
The next day was really depressing. It's Hans funeral. Everyone was showing up. The whole Ducks team, including Adam, James, and McGill. I was in the car with Charlie on the way to the cemetery for the burial.
We haven't spoken a word ever since I got into the car. We just sat there in an awkward silence. Matt and Catie left early this morning for a brother sister day. I was about fall asleep in the car because it was about seven o'clock in the morning. And to be honest, that's way to early for me.
"You okay Court?" Charlie asked. I jerked my head forward to open my eyes.
"Yeah, I think..." I said. Charlie reached over and grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
"I miss him too." Charlie replied. I shoo my head.
"It's not because of... Hans." I stated. I sighed. "You know how I'm datin' Matt, right?"
"Yeah. Matt's a great guy. I was talking to him and he said he really, really loves you." Charlie said. I looked at him.
"What? What do you mean?" I asked. Charlie shrugged. "Charlie don't be messing with me."
"I don't know.... I see a ring in the future..." Charlie implied.
"No..." I said in shock. "Has he asked?"
"I'm not going to tell you anything." Charlie replied.
"Come on! You're a brother to me! You gotta tell me!" I demanded.
"Fine, I'll tell you that he might..."
"Thank you." I said as I fixed myself in my chair.
"Or might not."
"Charlie!" I screamed. He started to laugh.
"Why do you wanna know? Would you say yes?" Charlie asked. I paused. Then shrugged.
"I don't know. Maybe."
