The mission that Slenderman sent Hayley on was simple. She had to kill her father. Easy, right? Hayley was content about this mission. And her best friend was coming. She skipped to Masky's room, to let him know that she was ready to go. Her weapon of choice was two twin katanas. She knocked softly, hearing a sob from inside. She opened the door and flung her arms around him tightly, pulling him close as he cried. He buried his head in her shoulder as small sobs escaped. She stroked his head gently and he sniffled in reply. He looked up at her, and she gently wipes his tears. He shakily smiled, his bottom lip quivering.
"Hey.... what's wrong...?" She said softly, worry laced into her voice.
"O-One of my friends g-got hurt in one o-of his missions...." He said quietly, turning his head so that he was facing her neck. She stroked his soft hair and rocked him gently.
"Why don't we go see him..?" She asked softly and he nodded.
"Y-yes please..." He mumbled softly. She hugged him once more and then they headed to the infirmary. He wandered to someone's bedside as tears cascaded down his face. The boy in the bed's arms were heavily bandaged and so was his torso. Hayley closed her eyes as she felt her own tears run. She focused the curse into healing him. As the bandages fell away, revealing his injuries which were fully healed. Masky turned to her and tilted his head.
He then flung his arms around her neck and hugged her tightly.
"Thank you, so much...." He said softly. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him.
"W-when's the w-wedding?" Asked the boy in the bed. Hayley went red and looked away. Masky smirked.
"Well Toby, when's the wedding between you and Clockwork." He asked and Toby blushed.
"S-shut up." He cried, embarrassed but smiling. Hayley giggled and Masky blushed. She hugged him tightly and buried her face in his shoulder. He stroked and ran his fingers through her hair and she relaxed. Toby smirked at them. Hayley resisted the urge to kiss Masky.
'He wouldn't like a freak like me...' she thought.
Slenderman intercepted her thoughts.
'Just talk to him, child. I'm sure he feels the same way as you do. He cares for you, he's always there for you when you're sad.' Hayley's eyes lit up as she processed the info. She wasn't really paying attention to the conversation between Masky and Toby.
She studied her surroundings carefully. Knowing how things were between her and Blake, she knew that she would be here a lot. It was nothing new though.
