Chapter 31: Call The Kage!

Chapter 31: Call the Kage!

"Jiraiya, why are you wanting to meet in the bar instead of my office? Not that I mind taking requests with some sake.." Tsunade chuckled, swirling the clear liquid before downing it with a wince and happy sigh.

"You know as well as I, since Danzo was oh so bold last time, he obviously is listening in on your private meetings." She sneered with a low growl in her throat. "I wanted to discuss the last mission alone. It was obvious Naru's control was weakening against Kyuubi's influence. I have no doubt that soon she'll slip into his grasp and won't be able to get back out."

"Meaning he'll get her to break the seal?" She concluded.

"Exactly, and with Naru's close connections in regards to the Akatsuki, she's easily triggered."

"What do you suggest?"

"There is a rumor that the Land of Lightning, more specifically Kumogakure, has a place where jinchuuriki can go and take control of their beast, taking their chakra adding it to their own without the side effects of breaking the seals." He paused. "Kumo's jinchuuriki are two of the nine that actually have bonded with their beast and work together as one. I think Naru needs to start down that journey."

"So I have to reach out to the Raikage huh?" Tsunade muttered. "That's why you're buttering me up with sake?" She squinted at him, making him chuckle.

"I know Kumogakure's tie more specifically A's relationship with our village is not the greatest, but seeing as we have a common enemy at the moment, maybe he'll be more inclined to listen."

"What about Naru?" Tsunade questioned. "How is she holding up?"
"She was quite down about the subject, but her little boyfriend is keeping her occupied at the moment. I left a scroll of practices for her to work on and I asked Kakashi to oversee the training."

"Why not you?"
"I have a lead I need to follow up on, and besides Naru doesn't really need my guidance anymore, the brat nearly surprassed me." He chuckled, taking a drink and huffed.
"We're past our prime neh?"
"Quite, but at least one of us looks good for their age, you might wanna work on that Tsunade " She snarled at him, her cheeks tinted from the alcohol, he laughed loudly standing from the table. "Keep me in the loop on what he says." He said before leaving, Tsunade sighed looking towards the door with a heavy sigh. 'Indeed Jiraiya...' She thought sadly before staring down at her drink, losing her buzz and joy of the drink.

"Shinobi - we shinobu we endure - shinobu, suppressing our sobs!" The short stature man loudly sang in the air pausing and giving large sniffles before huffing. "You don't just sing enka. Enka requires a passion filled soul! Now you try it!" The man barked looking down at the dark skinned muscular man staring at him in awe before smirking.

"All right! Shinobi by being shinobi so stealthy ... we extend our life expectancy ---- WHEEEEE" He shouted, throwing his fist in the air huffing before looking at the man with excitement.

"You lack passion!!!" The man said with a grim smile. "You mock the song? Don't you think? With lyrics like that!?" He questioned, the other jolted before giving a small slump of defeat in his shoulders.

"Passion?"
"Yes! Because as its kanji implies it's important with enka to en the ka with passion!" He said, throwing his arms in the air. "Try tremolo! You need to clench your belly and pass it through your nares more like this." He began to shift before he looked over to see his overly large racoon that had been peacefully sleeping turned with a low growl. "What's wrong Ponta?" He questioned. "Who are you?"
