(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Mama!" Sarada said running towards me waving her hands, it was her first day at the academy today. It seems like yesterday she was just a little baby that I was carrying in my arms, and now she's going to school and running around, she's growing up. I smiled at my daughter and kneeled down to pick her up twirling her around and pulled her in a hug.

"Mama! Please put me down! I'm a big girl now, you don't have to carry me!" She said.
I laughed at her then put her down and smiled at her, "I know you're a big girl now, but you're still my little baby." I said and poked her forehead, and she blushed while rubbing the red mark on her forehead, making her giggle.

I grabbed her hand as we started walking home, "Mama! Can I pick my cake for my birthday tomorrow?" she asked and looked up at me.
"Of course Sarada! It's your birthday you can have anything you want!" I said to her, she beamed at me with her eyes full of excitement.

Tomorrow was Sarada's 8th birthday party and I've invited a few friends to have a party. Whenever it was Sarada's birthday, I throw her a party because I know that she would get lonely if we celebrated with just the two of us. I noticed that she was lonely because when it was her 4th birthday party, we celebrated, just the two of us and I caught her crying herself to sleep. That's when I decided that every year, on her birthday, I was going to throw her a party because I won't allow my daughter crying herself to sleep on her special day.

The last time we celebrated with Sasuke, was when Sarada turned 3 years old and she doesn't remember anything because she was too young. Sasuke and I haven't seen each other for almost 5 years now, I miss him everyday, but I understand that he can't come home yet because he was just doing his job to protect the village. Although Sasuke wasn't here to celebrate his daughter's birthday, he never forgets Sarada's birthday and always sends her gifts. Just by doing that, I'm already happy because at least he was still making an effort for his daughter, and still tried to be involved in her life, but sometimes I also wished he would start coming home once in a while. I didn't want Sarada asking questions about her father again about why he wasn't coming home.

[Time Skip- Sarada's Birthday]

"Happy Birthday Sarada!" I said to my daughter and I picked her up, and kissed her cheek.
"Thank you mama!" she replied hugging me.

People were slowly showing up, Hinata, Temari, Sakura and Ino along with their family were here. They all brought presents for her, and she her eyes filled with excitement watching as the pile of presents in the corner grew into a mountain as people showed up. We started the party by singing happy birthday and we continued by eating some food and the kids playing a few games. I snapped a few photos for our photo album, and also to send one to Sasuke, so he could at least remember how his daughter looks like, and see that she was growing up into a very beautiful girl. Everybody was having a good time, and I'm glad that Sarada was also enjoying with all her friends.

It started getting dark outside and people slowly started to leave, when everybody left I grabbed the leftover cake and placed it on the coffee table in our living room. At the end of Sarada's birthday I watch her open her gifts, while we both stuff our face with cake.

"Okay! Time to open your presents! You have to open mine first!" I said to her, I grabbed my present first and gave to her. She opened the red bag and pulled out the, (choice of present), she jumped into my arms to give me a hug and started kissing my cheek.
"Thank you mama! I love it! And I love you!" She said, giggling.
"You're welcome sweetie! I love you too!" I said.
