CHAPTER 18: THE BEGINNING OF THE END

A large figure stood in the way of Carter. The giant from the dungeon blocked the attack and did a counter-attack. "WHAT THE?!" Apep said, in shock. "I THOUGHT YOU DIED!?" Flint said, stepping back in surprise. Carter smiled and looked up at the giant. "Thanks for the help. I owe you one." Carter said, walking behind in front of the giant. A large group of giants came from where the giant Carter and his group fought and started charging toward the dragon. "DAMN!" Said Flint exclaimed.

The group of giants emerged from the ground. They began to avenge their fallen ally by helping take on the dragon of the underworld. Silas was still lying on the ground. Carter stood over him with a killer look. "For Silas, I will take you on. For the people of this world, I will take you on. FOR THEM, I WILL RISK IT ALL!" He yelled from the top of his lungs. Carter's battle cry resonated among the fighters as the yell was sent back, and the fighting resumed. The war was far from over. Macho and Key battle it at full strength, destroying the ground while clashing.With each strike, they grow more potent, but only one can come out victorious this time. "I will finish what I started in the dungeon!" Key roared. He made the same attack to steal away his power. "NOW DI-" Key was abrupt. When he looked down at his chest, there was a massive hole in his stomach. "H-How in the hell did you-" He began before getting blasted into obliteration. "Game, set, match," Macho said, deforming and landing back on the ground.

"Hey Silas, seems like you guys have a new member," Brainy said, smiling. "Yeah, he is pretty cool. His name is Carter, and he was supposed to be in human limbo but ended up here." Silas said, sighing. "Seems like it was his destiny to be here. Plus, it looks like you guys are happy here now. You can't leave them like this, not in the middle of the war. They need you." She said, looking at him. "It also looks like you have taken a "different" liking to Carter than with me." She laughed. Silas rolled his eyes, "Get out of my head." He said. "Just kidding, but you do need to go back," Brainy said, grabbing his shoulder. He nodded. They exchanged looks and smiled. Silas held her hand and pulled her close. "W-What the... Silas, what-?" She was cut off while Silas kissed her. She wrapped her hand around his torso, and he pulled her closer. She released her grip and put her hands together. "Goodbye, Silas.." Brainy said in tears, waving toward the particles that disappeared into the sky.

"Until we meet again."

While the fighting has been going on for hours on hours, a giant ray of light from where Silas' body appeared. The battle halted, and I watched as Silas awakened his numen power to its full potential. A colorless aura emerged from his body as he walked toward Flint. Carter, Sly, Macho, and Atlas walk follow behind him. Flint smiled as he met the group halfway. Silas held his hand out before any of them took another step. "I have some unfinished business to take care of with him." The Uncalled Five looked at each other, then gave each a fist bump. Silas stayed in front of Flint. The rest of them went to take on Malthor.

Flint looked at Silas and smiled, "Well, well... How is this battle going to end, brother?"
