Chapter 13: MINDSCAPE

Carter stood up, covering his eyes from the blinding lights. He walked along the illuminated path, which could have stretched for miles before ending. After a couple of hours of walking, Carter heard something call out to him. "Hey Carter, come closer. We want to tell you something,'' A voice said gently. "Don't lose sight of who you are!" "Keep on going!" "Don't give up!" The voice slowly flooded his head as he got closer and closer to the end.

"Hello, mortal." Said the prominent figure. The figure was a giant beyond anything Carter had ever seen. "I-I.. where am I? Carter said to the large figure. "I am Shiva; I am your Numen. Welcome to the deepest part of your mind." Said Shiva. He slowly grew to size so that Carter could look him in the eye. "So you are my power.. so the wait, didn't I die?!" Carter said, going into a state of panic. Shiva had slapped him. "You aren't dead. I saved you before you croaked." He said, laughing. "You have to tap into my power. I know you have it in you. Now stop being scared and find courage! Your team needs you!" Shiva yelled at him. Carter stepped back, tripping over his own feet. "NOW GO!" He slammed his fist into Carter's chest as he was sent back to the Limbo realm.

"CAAAAAARTER!" The team yelled. Mike had rushed at the giant before he came to a halt. The blast had been blown up as the area had been wiped out. "Ugh! AHHH!" Said Silas's team as their cage had been broken. ''NOW!" Silas said to Frost. Frost let off a wave of ice that caught them before they fell. "Phew, that was a close one," Shawn said, letting off a sigh of relief. "You idiot!" Frost slammed his hand into the back of Shawn's head. "OUCH! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!" Shawn yelled. They started arguing as Silas grabbed hold of his teammates. "Hold on." He looked at Raider as he nodded, and Silas and Raider braced themselves while Shawn and Frost fought it out.

"SWOOSH!"

"..A-... Atl-...ALAS!" His teammate threw water on him as Atlas woke up in a panic, "AHHH, NO BRAINY!!" He was terrified and in a state of shock. ''W-what happened?" He said, taking deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. "We had been put in a room where our worst fears took over." Said Wind, sitting beside him. "Yeah, it seems like it got the worst of you." Said the guy dressed in Red. "We haven't formally met yet." Said the Red guy. "My name is Red, if it wasn't obvious, haha.'' He laughed and put his hoodie back on. "I-I can't take it..'' A guy in a corner said, rocking. "Wait a minute... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!'' The guy sitting beside him said. The guy in the corner grabbed him and shot him. "WHAT THE-" Said Wind in shock. Red tried to stop the other guy from shooting himself, but it was too late. "BANG!" Two people from team 3 had been eliminated.

The battle between Macho and Key looked like a one-sided battle. With time running low, the dungeon that they were fighting in is coming to a close. "TEAMS ONE AND THREE HAVE PASSED THIS ROUND! THERE ARE ONLY A FEW MINUTES LEFT BEFORE THE END OF THIS ROUND!" Said the announcer. "Hehe. That means I just have to finish you here." Macho smiled, sending chills down his opponent's spine. "W-What the hell are you..?'' Said Key, hunched over in pain. ''I will tell you once again before you perish... I AM MACHO, FROM THE UNCALLED FIVE, AND I AM THE ONE WHO WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!!" Macho slammed his fist through Key's chest. Key fell to the ground. "Hehe... I got beat... by a beast... p-pathetic...'' Key had passed out from bleeding out. Macho walked off as Key lay there bleeding out. "This can't happen.." Key said to himself. "I won't lose his kind.."

"This can't happen.." Key said to himself. "I won't lose his kind.." ''No." Macho had turned around and tried to shoot Key as then... "STAB!" Key stabbed Macho with a demon energy sword. "I won't lose...'' Key stole energy from him, getting up and leaving his body lifeless as the dungeon came crumbling down. "Game, set, match," Key said smiling, walking out of jail.

"TEAM 2 MEMBERS: KEY, SLY, AND BUTCH HAVE MOVED ON!" Said the announcer. "What?!" Atlas and Silas said. "H-He lost.." Said Atlas. Silas clenched his fist and walked toward the opening, where he met with the other team members. Everything had been silent, looking around, and the crashing had kept up. Carter got up off the ground and turned toward the giant. He looked menacing; he rushed toward the giant with lightning-fast speed. The giant had turned around as Carter started blitzing him from head to toe. "What the hell...'' Said Mike stepping back toward Hope and Derek. "He has awakened his Numen's power." Said Flip, finally getting up. Carter had made a large sword appear from thin air. The blade was half his size and looked like it could tear planets with just one slice. He clenched the sword in his hand and looked back at them. "R U N N O W!" He said, turning back towards the giant. "We can't just leave you he-'' Derek said, being cut off by Mike. "Let's go." He looked at the ground and grabbed them as he ran toward the exit. The giant swung his sword as Carter deflected it back with his sword.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!" Said the mysterious man. "It looks like the human awakened his power, sir," Liev said in shock. "HOW IN THE HELL DOES THE HUMAN HAVE THAT KIND OF POWER?!" Said the mystery man. "Gah... CRACK UP THE POWER TO MAXIMUM!" He said, enraged. "But sir..!'' Liev said, getting chills from the glare he got back. "I said N O W.," the mystery man said. "A- Yes, sir.." Liev said, pushing a button. The giant had completely entered an agitated state. With the giant's power unleashed, Carter stood there unphased by it. "Is that all?" Carter said with a smile. "This should be a walk in the park," Carter said with the voice of Shiva. The giant slowly looked at Carter with fear that struck every part of his body. The giant roared and swung his sword at Carter. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Carter yelled, swinging the sword with all his might. "HEAVENLY STRIKE!" Carter yelled, releasing the sword at the giant. The rumbling had stopped.

"Phew.. maybe he is on his." A large explosion was heard as the team members of 4 had been caught in the blast. "Carter..." Atlas said, looking over at Silas. Silas was not the person to piss off. He started to grind his teeth and clench his fist. He looked up at the ground and sat in place. The explosion's door to team 4 is flung open as Mike, Hope, Derek, and Flip fly out and hit the floor. "He didn't make i-'' Flip got cut off as Carter walked through the doors with his shirt ripped off his body. "CARTER!" Team 4, Atlas, Sly, and Silas ran over to him as he passed out.

"TEAM 4 HAS MOVED ON TO THE NEXT ROUND!" Said the announcer.

The giant was defeated.
