Sollux Captor

"I pick... Sollux!" You decide, grabbing his hand, "It'll be fun, and I can protect you."

Eridan smirked, "He's going to need it."

The others paired off as well and once everyone was ready, Feferi took the lead, "Alright, every-guppy, let's go now!"

The group took a moment to gather up their things and headed over to where the haunted house was mostly set up. Once you arrived, Feferi stepped forward once again to give a few reminders.

"Give us a moment to get set up," she said, "You'll know when you're ready to come in. You don't have to stay in your pairs but it pro-bubbly be betta to. And most importantly, have fun. We'll sea you in a bit!"

A few people broke away from the group and followed her inside to prepare. You smiled at Sollux, "Are you excited?"

Sollux's eyes sparked with excitement and he nodded. "You bet I am, and I'm going to get you back for that comment about protecting me," he declared and you laughed.

"Sure you will," you say, a challenging tone in your voice.

Just then, the sound of a bell rang out from inside the house and the door creaked open all on its own. The experience was about to begin.

At your request, you and Sollux waited for everyone else to go through part way first so that the two of you would be uninterrupted as you went through. You took the lead before he could and entered the house.

A cold wind blew past and you shivered. Looking around, you immediately noticed the insane amount of cobwebs covering the room. You squinted at them, "Are these real?"

"I wouldn't be surprised," Sollux said, moving past you. "I'm pretty sure Vriska was the one doing decorations."

You shudder and make a face of disgust before following Sollux. The two of you continued into the next room where a yellow mist had settled over the floor. You were struck by how warm it was and grinned, "What is this? A tropical vacation?"

"I could get comfortable in here," Sollux snickered.

 His laughter was joined by cackling from the corner but when you looked over, there was nothing there. "Come out, come out wherever you are," you called into the fog.

"Ask and you shall receive," Terezi sneered, dropping down from the ceiling in front of you, brandishing a pitchfork.

You took a step back to avoid getting impale and nodded approvingly. "Nice costume, police wasn't scary enough?"

"Not nearly," Terezi agreed, "Plus I can now bully you guys without worrying about justice." 

She tapped the both of you on the head with her pitchfork and yanked on a rope you hadn't noticed before. Two rooms down, one left to go," she said before the rope pulled her up towards the ceiling with a cackle.

You glanced at Sollux, "Should I tell her that human police bully people anyway?"

"She doesn't need two legal systems backing her up," Sollux chuckled. "Let's keep going, I'm starting to sweat."

The second room was homely and, unfortunately, still warm. A fire place blazed against one wall and someone sat in front of it, with their back towards you, stirring a cauldron.

You squeezed Sollux's hand and put a finger to your lips. The two of you began to tip toe across the room but a creaking floorboard revealed your location, "Who's there?"

You giggled, "Alright, you got us." You glance quickly at Sollux and urge him to walk over. "Feferi right," you say as the two of you approach her, "Nice job disguising your voice but we figured it out."

Right before you reached her she whirled around, her hair flaring out behind her. "Did you?" she screamed, revealing grotesque makeup that gave her a terrifying and haunted appearance.

Sollux actually screamed at this and you doubled over with laughter. "Getting a genuine reaction out of Sollux? That was amazing," you tell Feferi.

Sollux pouts, clutching at his chest, "Don't laugh, [Y/N], I wasn't expecting that, that's all. I'm used to being pretty sure of what FF looks like, and usually that isn't 

She gives you a proud smile, "Thank you! I thought of it my-shell-f." She smiled at Sollux although her makeup made even that look unsettling. "I wasn't too scale-ry though, was I?"

Sollux laughed nervously, "No, of course not. Just the right amount of scary."

Feferi clapped her hands and handed you both a small handful of candy corn from her cauldron. "You've passed the second room, one more left to go" she said and you popped a piece of candy into your mouth as you left the room.

The two of you continued onwards, into a dark room made to look like a dying forest. Branches like fingers, reached out for you as you walked and you weren't surprised when a rustle of leaves were your only warning before Nepeta pounced on you, bowling you over.

You fell to the ground laughing as you got the air knocked out of you. Luckily your fall was cushioned by a pile of leaves and you weren't hurt.

"Sufficiently scared," you said, "You can get off of me now."

Nepeta did so and smiled, "Paw-rry, I hope I didn't hurt mew. I just pawed mew might be harder to scare so I wanted to do something extra."

Sollux helped you to your feet and you shook your head as you dusted yourself off. "It's alright," you reassure Nepeta, "I'm fine."

"Good," she smiled and spread her arms, "Congratulations! Mew two passed the final room."

You gave her a friendly pat on the head and Sollux took your hand before checking you over once more.

"Hey, I meant it. I'm fine," you laugh and Sollux nodded, seemingly satisfied.

The two of you went through the final door and emerged on the other side of the house. The rest of the group were already out there waiting. Some looking more scared than others.

"How was it?" Eridan asked upon noticing your arrival.

"Piece of cake," Sollux said a little too quickly and you couldn't resist speaking up with a wicked glint in your eyes.

"He was terrified, screamed like a wriggler."

"I did not!" Sollux laughed and kissed you on the cheek.

A chorus of reactions came from the others but you ignored them all and just smiled at Sollux before returning the kiss.

This would be a Halloween to remember.
