"You're old but still suffering in just a freaking shoelace, really Arianne Gayle?!"

Umirap ako sa hangin at hindi pinakinggan ang kakapasok lang sa bahay na si Alexander the Great. He puts his bag in the coffee table and squatted in front of me para gawin ang bagay na nirereklamo niya. Marahas niyang inagaw ang shoelace. He started inserting the aglet to the eyelets of my white sneaker shoes. Tumuwid ako ng upo sa sofa at humalukipkip.

Marunong ako like ... duh.

It's just I'm having hard time doing it because I rarely wear this kind of shoes. Sandals, pumps, flats are my things. Tell me how I'll learn this thing if I only wear it in school, in PE class only? I have garterized sneaker but I rarely wear it, too.

"Dad really spoils you big time. You should learn little things like this, Arianne."

"I know how to do tha—"

"Tying your shoelace doesn't require any skill, so you must perfectly do it. Hindi yung marunong ka lang. That might cause you injury kapag hindi maayos ang pagkakatali mo lalo na at may PE kayo."

Imbis na pahabain ang usapan, umirap ako. I know I won't win over this petty argument. Basta marunong ako. I'll keep that in myself na lang dahil hindi niya rin naman ako papaniwalaan.

Despite the argument a smile hovered my lips, seeing my brother at home. Antagal niya nang hindi nakakabisita. Busy sa sariling buhay. He's living in a condo with his fiancée kasi.

"Bakit ka nga pala andito, Kuya?" Dinuoble check niya ang pagtatali ko sa isang sapatos bago tumayo at nameywang sa'king harap.

"I came here just to tie your lace." My pursed lips nang makita ang nakakalokang ngisi sa mukha niya, he even ruffled my hair like he used to.

"Whatever, Kuya!"

Dad is already walking down stairs. He's putting his coat on and Mom followed while putting her hair in a bun. My parents smile as soon as they saw Kuya Zander.

"What's up, Son!"

"Nothing. May kukunin lang na gamit."

"Si Melner?" Mom asked after hugging my brother.

"She's still sleeping when I left home."

"Stay with your mom for couple of minutes before leaving. Mauuna na'ko, nakakatakot na ang tingin ng princess ko e." Dad stated while eyes were on me, then he chuckled.

"Dad I'm getting late."

"Alright, bye honey!" napangiwi ako ng halikan niya si Mommy sa lips, even mom was shocked to that sudden movement of dad.

"How's your first week?"

"Usual, dad. I just wanna graduate na lang and go to South Korea already."

"Take it easy, R."

I took my iPad and checked some updates in my social media. My snapchat and Instagram followers were rising everyday. I like the popularity I am receiving pero nakaka umay din minsan.
