I went to bed early just wasn't in the mood for anything. I was laying in bed reading and there was knocking on my window. I hesitated to open it because of what happened on my run the other day. But it was Kaleb. I tried to shut the window but he stopped me, damn him for being so strong. He gave me tie dyed white roses. They were beautiful. I let him in and he apologized.

He explained what happened after practice, some kid from the basketball team tried to make a move on him in the locker room. Then the kid threatened to out him to the school if he said anything. I just hugged him and said he should have told me and I would have been more understanding.

It was 8:00 and he asked me to go somewhere with him but he wouldn't tell me where. I whined and whined and it didn't budge. We went on this old dusty road and he took me to this open meadow. The meadow was full of flowers all so beautiful in their own way. The pale moonlight and lighting bugs made everything more peaceful. We sat in the hood of Kaleb's car and stared at the stars. He grabbed my hand and sat up so I did the same. He looked at me and caressed my face and kissed my cheek. He started talking about us and asked me out. It took me a minute but I said yes. I fell for Kaleb and didn't care for anything else.
