Chenle and Jeno were walking for quite a while now. The younger was sure that they were already at the red dot in the map yet no one was there. The abandoned neighborhood was quiet, too quiet for his liking.
"Does this mean we picked the wrong dot?" Chenle asked, fishing his phone from his pocket.
"I guess so. I think we should regroup with-"
"We get the fire mage and the earth mage. A counter for you and a win for me." Han, another member of SKZ, walked out of a house with another person following closely behind him. "Funny how I have the same name as your friend."
"Look, we don't have to fight, alright? We can just talk this-" Jeno cut himself off as a ball of plasma zoomed right past him. His hand went up to meet with his sticky cheek, his fingers dampening from the blood that trickled from the gash just below his eye.
"I still remember what you three assholes did. I don't care if Felix has his own reasons for wanting to get rid of you all, I just want to get my revenge." There was a slight accent in his voice, but not obvious enough.
"Chenle."
"Yes?" Chenle gulped, a surge of intense heat beside him slightly burning his skin.
"Tell Sejeong I tried to be nice."
The next moment was a blur as Jeno conjured two balls of blue flames that rested on his palms. His eyes burned a fiery red as the temperature grass around him began to scorch. Chenle crouched down to the ground, his hands connected with the hot ground.
His eye twitched at the intensity of the heat. He wasn't sure if at this point Jeno was showing off or really ready to kill their opponents. He shook off his thoughts and focused on the plan.
Han raised a brow at him and smirked. "How useless."
"Exactly. I'll show you how useless you can be." Jeno growled.

"Was that an explosion?" Sejeong wondered as the building shook. She glanced out the window and spotted a puff of smoke growing at the opposite side of the neighborhood.
"No, that was Jeno." Jisung answered. "He gets flashy when he's angry."
"Don't peacocks get flashy when they assert dominance?" Sejeong added.
Donghyuck, who followed closely behind them, was alert at every little sound and shadow that moved. Something felt off about the building they were in. It was for sure that they picked the right building, but why?
Why did it feel like someone was watching them?
It was the same unsettling feeling that crawled slowly under his skin and left a prickly feeling behind, yet he couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was.
"We're at the top." Jisung announced. He stood before the door that led to the rooftop. He looked behind him as if to ask them if they were ready.
"What are you waiting for? Let's kick some ass." Donghyuck urged. With one last glance at Sejeong, Jisung twisted the knob and carefully opened the door.
"It took you so long that I started to wonder if you'd actually show." Felix greeted. Behind him was Jeongin who had a solemn look on his face. He held the familiar orb in his arms with utmost care.
"Enough games and bullshit an let's get this over with." Jisung huffed, removing his jacket. Sejeong, who was kept invisible, quietly moved along the walls.
"You're really approaching me now, huh?" Felix mused, jumping down from the railing to meet him in the middle. "Quite bold now, aren't we?"
"How the hell am I supposed to beat the shit out of you if I don't?" Jisung sardonically laughed. He stopped just a foot away, effortlessly towering over the shorter male. "I won't kill you. I need answers."
"Too bad, I came here with the idea only one of us come out alive." Felix charged forward, reeling back as his fist was coated in a shiny silver. The sounds of bones crushing and blood splattering sent chills down Sejeong's spine. "And that should be me."
"Aw hell no." Donghyuck quietly gasped, covering Sejeong's eyes. "Disgusting."
Sejeong is here. That's all that matters.
Blood poured from Jisung's mouth as a dry laugh escaped his lips. He grabbed onto the older boy's wrist, twisting and pulling it out of his regenerating stomach. "Funny, I was thinking the same too."
Jisung raised his arm above his head, the dark magic coating his arm and dripping down to form a blade at his elbow. He used the weight of his body to add on to the force of his swing and stabbed Felix's shoulder.
Donghyuck covered his cousin's eyes, guiding her towards a safe spot. The fight behind them had gotten more out of hand as different balls of elements flew from all directions. He sat her behind a couple of crates and looked around.
"If you want to eat for the next couple of days don't look." He warned. "I'll try to get the orb from that fox guy."
"Wait Hyuck let-" Sejeong trailed off as Donghyuck left. She looked down at her hands with a sigh. "-me try talking to him."
She was sure she could try bargaining with Jeongin. She could vaguely remember he was the one who made sure her memory would come back. He was different from the rest of SKZ.
"Hey fox boy. You have something that doesn't belong to you." Donghyuck called, barely ducking the ball of plasma the flew towards him. He fixed his posture and cleared his throat. "Cough it up or I'll make you cough up your organs."
"Let me talk to Sejeong please." Jeongin bargained.
"As if I'd let you-"
"Take the orb and bring it to your friend. Let me talk to her." Jeongin interjected in a hushed tone, handing the orb to the older boy. The building shook again at another explosion resonated throughout the building.
"You stay a meter away from her, are we clear?" Donghyuck emphasized. He turned to beckon the girl to come closer.
"And I thought they were your loyal underlings." Jisung taunted, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"And I thought you were supposed to be strong."
"Stop being cliché."
"Does that gross you out? Shall I try again?" Felix smirked, his pitch black eyes unreadable. "You must be curious on what really happened that night with your brother, right? Well I can tell you this, he didn't put up much of a fight when his head was rolling on the floor."
Jisung's ears began to ring, the calm voice in his head failing to reach him as he fell further into rage. His vision turned a bloody red as everything zoned down to Felix. He clenched his jaw, his body shaking violently as dark magic covered him.
"I'm gonna fucking murder you."
