"harrie, are you sure about this?" niall asked.
harrie just gives him a half smile before nodding. she knew that her friends were gonna ask questions.
harrie prepared for the worst but she was a big girl. she can take care of herself.
"yeah, im sure."
niall just sighs before ringing the doorbell.
"harrie! my brother told me you were coming. he's upstairs. ill go and get him." selena greeted her before letting them both in.
harrie just nods as she goes towards the kitchen.
once zayn came down niall glares at him. the only reason why he was doing this was because of harrie and harrie alone.
"hi niall."
"zayn."
zayn gives him a half smile.
"hey harrie! im really glad you could make it."
"yeah."
"we'll get started in a minute. i just got a text from louis. he said he should be on his way soon. did ariana and cindy say when they're coming?"
"they'll be here soon. who else did you put in the study group."
"jaden, dylan, and my sister akiima. are you okay with that?"
"that sounds fine."
zayn nods.
"so, what exactly do we do in this study group? we're not all in the same grade."
"help each other. we're all at least good with a few subjects right? and we all have our weaknesses. we could help each other."
niall just nods.
"do you guys want anything to drink? any snacks?"
"no, im okay." harrie gives him a half smile.
"alright. how bout we get started and just catch the others up when they get here."

"thanks for coming guys. same time tomorrow?" zayn asked and everyone nods.
"harrie, are you coming?"
harrie looks up at her friends before shaking her head.
"ill feel guilty if i don't help clean up the mess."
niall rolls his eyes.
"you sure? how will you get home?" cindy asked.
zayn looks back and forth at both of them.
"ill give her a ride."
cindy gives him a look before looking at harrie again. "are you okay with that? i can stay behind?"
"yeah, it's fine. you guys go."
cindy nods. "text me if anything changes."
harrie just nods before she continues to help clean.
"you didn't have to help clean."
harrie looks him in the eye.
"its fine."
zayn just smiles before helping her.
"zayn, son, we're having chinese for dinner. is that alr- oh, harrie. i didn't know you were here." luke smiles at the two.
"hi mister evans."
"harrie, i told you long ago you can call me luke."
"right. its been awhile. guess i forgot."
"it's okay dear. will you be staying for dinner?"
"i shouldn't." harrie states after looking between luke and zayn.
"you sure honey? plenty of room."
harrie looks at zayn before he speaks for her.
"she'll stay dad."
"great! ill let your father know." luke states before heading upstairs.
"you sure that's a good idea?" harrie asked.
"he wouldn't stop pestering you if you didn't say otherwise. you know how my dad is." zayn chuckles.
harrie just smiles before nodding.
"thanks. i really didn't want to go home to my mom."
"oh.
zayn didn't know what to say. he knew she was still dealing with her moms attitude. its just the thought of her mother being rude to her made him feel more guilty every time. she needed him and what does he go and do? stab her in the back like she was nothing.
"im really sorry."
"zayn-"
"no, im so sorry i wasn't there harrie. i should have known or something. the things you went through still breaks my heart, you know, before i became apart of it. i know you went through shit no one else understood and i should have been with you instead of against you and im completely sorry. i really hope that in time you'll forgive my actions and we'll be best friends again. because if im honest, you're the only person ive ever trust with anything and losing our friendship always broke me. you have no idea how many times in the last year i picked up my phone trying to call or text you. i just figured, after the time you didn't show up, or when i thought you didn't show up to my party you needed space. i wanted to give you that so i didn't call you or text you or even check to see if you were okay. and as time went by i figured you just didn't want to be friends anymore so i let you go. i should have known something was wrong from the beginning and im completely sorry harrie."
harrie gulps before she sighs.
"you know, i really did miss you right?" he states.
"i missed you too zayn."
zayn lays his pinky out before harrie looks at it and smiles.
they intertwine their pinky fingers before speaking.
"harrie and zayn."
"her friday."
"his butterfly."
"think we won't."
"well you're wrong."
"true friendship will carry on."
"might as well."
"scream and yell."
"zayn and harrie."
"carry on."
the two laugh at the cheesy saying they made up when they were kids.
"can't believe we still remember that." zayn states.
"how can we forget. it was our secret friendship poem."
"it was barely a poem nerds." selena comes downstairs and smirks at the two.
"and it wasn't much of a secret." matt was behind her.
"hello to you too selena." harrie laughs.
"foods here." luke yells.
"everyone grab your plates from the kitchen."
zayn smiles at harrie before the two go and get their plates.
