****************

The week flew by and it's already Saturday. I'm anxious at the thought of seeing William again, let's just say the last time we talked was weird. He left me as if I had just given him some kind of disease. He literally ran away from me because I talked about going apple picking. I talked about it with Aubrey, but she told me to brush it off, and that he must have had a bad morning.

"Alright! How do I look?" Aubrey asks me.

She's wearing black legging, as always, and a pastel pink hoodie with a black winter vest. It's already getting cold outside even though we're only at the beginning of September. Her short hair is loose and she applied a little bit of makeup.

"You look stunning as always Sunshine," I reply.

She smiles at the nickname I gave her when we were 5, and she winks at me.

"You don't look too bad yourself," she says.

I look down at myself, I am wearing black jeans, fall black boots, and a white long-sleeved shirt with a black leather jacket. My hair is tied in a neat low bun, and I have sunglasses resting on my head. I smile back at her as we exit the dorm.

"Do you think William will be there?" I ask nervously.

"Nick told me he'd be," she replies, "But you need to relax. I know you want to jump the guy but control yourself," she chuckles.

I look at her, shook.

"I do not want to jump him," I hiss.

She rolls her eyes but keeps walking, not answering me. I walk towards my motorcycle as Aubrey walks toward Nick's car.

"You're not coming with us?" Nick asks.

"I'm working later, I'll have to head directly to work after, so I'm riding on my own," I answer.

"Alright, well I have to stop and pick up William, so you might be there before us," he explains.

"Alright, I'll wait for you guys there," I reply.

They make their way out of the parking and onto the road as I open my bag. I double-check that I have my uniform for work, and all of my things before putting my sunglasses in there as well. I put my bag on my shoulders and put my helmet on my head. I wasn't supposed to be working tonight since I worked every night this week, but someone called in sick, and I volunteered to replace her. Aubrey wasn't too happy about it since we were supposed to go eat the four of us afterward, but I really need the money. My dad being alone, he doesn't have enough money to pay for my tuition, so I need to work more than I'd like to.

When I finally arrive, Nick's car is already parked. I park my bike next to his car where the three of them are waiting for me. I turn off the engine and take off my helmet as I meet William's eyes. He looks at me, and then at my bike, looking surprised and impressed at the same time.

"Nice bike... is it a sv650?" he asks.

"Yeah," I respond shortly.

I am still unsure of how to talk to him now. Aubrey and Nick walk towards the entrance hands-in-hands and we follow them.

"What do you do during Winter though?" he asks.

"I didn't have enough money to have a bike and a car, but I chose the bike. Now, before you say it's stupid, hear me out. I ride my bike from May to October where I bring it back home. Aubrey and I always go home together for Thanksgiving, so I leave my bike at my house, and come back with her. Once here, I use public transport for the rest of the school year until I go back home," I explain.
