Two chapters in the same day... why not? Enjoy :)

It has been a month since William slept over at my dorm. We have seen each other often since then. We always go to his place on Mondays to do our project, and we hang out with Aubrey and Nick a lot too. I've learned a lot about William in the last month just by looking at his behaviors. I mean he's not one to talk and open up, so I had to figure out who he is by myself. He likes coffee, like a lot, maybe even as much as I love maple syrup. He wants to be a lawyer like me. He loves his car like it's his baby. He prefers salted things over sweet, which we often bicker over. He can go from being a charming and kind person to being a cold and distant one in about two seconds. He doesn't smoke, and neither does he do drugs, and he almost never drinks. When he does drink he takes two beers and that's it. He's always kind to everyone, but always keeps his relationships superficial, he never talks about personal topics. He always rubs his temple on his forehead when he's pissed and/or tired. His eyes are like a pool of emotions that have just been imprisoned there his whole life. They speak for him, showing conflicted emotions at every time of the day. Sometimes, when he doesn't know, I look into his eyes and try to find something, a hint of his past that could tell me why this genuinely nice and kind boy has so many trust issues.
"Alright, we have to hurry up, Nick and Will are going to be here soon," Aubrey gets me out of my thoughts.
"I am ready, you're the one who's slow," I admit.
"I am not slow; I take my time. You know I hate to be in a rush in the morning," she glares at me playfully.
I roll my eyes at her before finishing to curl my hair in loose curls. We are going pumpkin picking today and next weekend is Thanksgiving which means Aubrey and I are going back home for the long weekend. I hear my phone ring, and see my father is calling me.
"Hey dad," I answer.
"Hey pumpkin," he answers back.
Pumpkin is a nickname my father gave me when I was little because I've always loved Fall.
"We are going pumpkin picking today so you couldn't be more right, I'm a pumpkin," I laugh.
I hear him chuckle loudly.
"I just wanted to know if Aubrey and you will be here on Friday night, or if you'll be here on Saturday next weekend. Aubrey's family is coming over to our house this year for dinner and I'll need your help cooking everything," he explains.
"We don't have classes on Friday so we should be home around 4 p.m. which means I'll be able to help you all day on Saturday," I respond.
"Good, you know how I hate cooking," he grumbles.
"I know dad," I laugh, "I need to go now, but I'll call you during the week."
"Alright, bye Pumpkin."
"Bye dad, I love you," I say.
"Love you more," he says before hanging up.
Aubrey finishes putting on her shoes and we head out. Once we are out we get into Nick's car. I sit next to William in the backseat and Nick sigh loudly.
"We've been waiting here for ten minutes. What took you two so long?" he complains.
"I was on my phone with my dad and Aubrey is slow," I shrug.
"I'm not slow, I'm a work of art," she shrugs.
"Well, art as never been your strength," I laugh.
Aubrey turns her head towards me and glares at me.
"Don't listen to her, you're a masterpiece," Nick smiles at her.
