"Come on man, you two are perfect for each other," Nick insists.
"Shut up, you're pissing me off," I groan as I eat my breakfast.
"I know you have a hard time letting people in, but you're going to lose her if you keep on acting that way," he warns me.
"Stop talking she could hear you," I hiss.
"You said she was still sleeping," he shrugs.
I roll my eyes and ignore him, but I know he's right. She won't wait for me all her life, but I just hope she can wait a little longer because I'm nowhere near ready to open up. Stupid, messed up past. I wish I wasn't so messy. I gulp down my breakfast and go back to the guest room where Isa is still asleep. She looks so cute and peaceful. I dress up for the day in silence, not wanting to wake her up. Yesterday night was amazing, and for the first time since my father died, being back in my hometown doesn't make me feel awful. I think Isa has something to do with it, the fact that she's with me always makes everything better.
"William," I hear Isa grumble.
I turn around to see her looking at me. She's sitting in the bed, rubbing her eyes with the palm of her hand.
"Hey Sugar," I walk to her.
I sit on the bed and kiss her forehead, but she whines. She wraps her arms around me and pulls me towards her, making us fall onto the bed. She cuddles me, and closes her eyes again. She snuggles even closer to me and a peaceful sigh escapes her lips.
"You smell good," she whispers.
"I wish I could say the same for you," I chuckle.
She hits me with her small hand, but a smile appears on her lips.
"Can we stay in bed all day?" she asks.
"Wow, so much for starting your year on a productive start," I laugh.
"We can have a productive start another day," she groans.
"I was actually going for a walk with Nick since you girls sleep forever," I tell her.
"Aubrey is also sleeping?"
"Yes."
"Fine... I'm getting up and coming with you guys. Tell Nick to wake up the other lazy woman," she gives in.
She gets up and only then do I remember she's only wearing one of my shirts. And I mean she's ONLY wearing my shirt, nothing else. It covers enough so I don't see much, but it's still extremely attractive.
"You should put clothes on before I take you up on your idea of staying here all day," I let out.
She looks at me and bends down to get her clothes out of her duffle bag, leaving me to see everything really clearly. I gulp down. This woman excites me more than humanly possible. I'm instantly up on my feet and behind her, my hands on her hips.
"What are you doing?" she gasps.
"Don't pretend not to know what you're doing," I warn her.
She turns around, a wide grin on her face.
"You should learn to control yourself better," she giggles and pushes me away.
She puts on clothes and head-out of the room, leaving me with a hard-on. Once I can go back downstairs the three of them are sitting at the table. Aubrey and Isa are eating breakfast, and Nick is cleaning up.
"If I leave a mess my parents are going to be mad," Nick says. "I think they partied a little too hard yesterday, they are still asleep," he laughs.
We hear the doorbell ring, and Nick goes to the door. I follow him and when we open the door I see none other than Jackson's brother, Steve.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Nick spits out.
"Who is he?" Isa asks from behind me.
"No one," I say archly.
"We need to talk, you fucking asshole," Steve, says.
"We have nothing to say," Nick warns him.
"You put my brother in jail," Steve roars.
Isa puts her hand in mine, but I push her away.
"You want to talk, well let's talk," I say.
I head out of the house and Steve follows me. Nick also follows me after telling the girls to stay inside.
"What the hell do you want?" I scream.
"You put my brother in jail!" Steve shouts.
"No! Your brother is responsible for my father's death! He deserves to be in jail," I say through gritted teeth.
"Well if you would have taken care of your father my brother wouldn't of have to," he scoffs.
"How dare you? Your brother knew he was fucking high and decided by himself to put my father and himself at risk!" I snap.
"Well it's your fault, you weren't there for your father," he snarls.
"Steve I think you should leave," Nick says.
I'm going to fucking kill him. How dare he talk of my father that way. I'm boiling with anger, and I'm ready to fucking beat him up.
"Leave," I growl.
"Why would I give you this pleasure," he scoffs.
That's it. I walk towards him and throw him on the ground. The rage, the pain, the hurt, the grief, and everything that has been bottled up inside of me for all these years explodes and I throw punch after punch at him. I see red, and I don't have control over my body anymore.
"Stop!" Isa screams.
Her voice brings me back to reality, and a very bruised Steve is looking at me, horrified. I get up quickly and Nick helps Steve getting up. I look around me to see Isa and Aubrey looking at me. Nick's parents are looking at me with a sad look, both standing at the front of their house.
"What happened?" Isa asks nicely.
She puts her hands on my arm and softly brushes her finger on my cheek. A tear escapes my eye, and I'm a sobbing mess in a second. I fall on Isa who supports me the best she can as I cry. I hear Steve and Nick talking, but I have no idea what they are talking about. Pictures of my dad erupt in my mind, and suddenly I'm at his funeral again, punching the walls of the church.
"I'm here, I'm not going anywhere," Isa whispers in my ear.
She holds me tight, and it feels so good to have her here with me. Nothing makes me feel better than her.
"I'm right here," shesays again.
