Regarding the recent issues involving Ryan Haywood, me and like plenty of other writers must face the decision of what to do with our stories. If you do not know what is going on, please DM me rather than asking in the comments. I would prefer this information be said in private rather than have the inappropriate details in the comments for everyone to read. (I do not know all the ages of my readers and would want to keep it PG)
Obviously, with Love Me and A Father I Never Knew, Ryan was a main protagonists and a major influence on the direction of both stories. As mentioned in the previous update, I am slowly in the process of re-writing and what has occurred forced that to spiral. This is a very difficult decision for me as these are my only two stories and they are near and dear to my heart.
Out of respect for those effected by this occasion, things must change. For the future of these stories, I have four options.
1) Continue on with the story the way it is, characters and all
2) Edit Ryan completely out of the books and find new protagonists for the stories
3) End both stories but still have them available to the public
4) End and remove both stories from Wattpad to avoid conflict
As readers and followers, I really value any feedback you may have at this time and I will make my final decision with you all in mind, so please leave what you think in the comments or DM me. These options are to include those who fell victim to his behavior and actions but to also include those who have also loved these books as much as I do. I will give a final post as I make up my decision.
Not to get really sappy; however, as said before, this is a very difficult decision to make because this has been a major part of my life.
Wattpad and these stories have given me so much over the years including my best friend of over five years, who I never would have met otherwise. Thanks to FINK and her story, we met and grew a friendship that has changed my life forever. Without her, the stories and the rewrites would not be half the quality that they are now, and I would not be the person who I am today. I have the greatest memories with her from staying up all night, bouncing ideas for our books, to laughing till we cried, and hearing advice for issues I thought I could not handle.
Although I may not have been consistent over the years, I know that because of these stories, I have grown as a writer, fallen in love with the hobby and creating ideas, and being able to communicate and befriend with some very awesome and talented people. For that, I have to say thank you to everyone who has followed me on this amazing journey for the past five to six years.
This is not a goodbye for now. I will be back soon and if anyone needs to vent on the situation at hand, my DMs are always open. This is a difficult time for our community so please feel free to contact me.
