Eternity's pov

Wow, time really flies! It's hard to believe it's been two weeks since I started working at Knights Empire Industry. I have to say, I'm really loving it here. The team is amazing, and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming – well, except for our CEO, Aaron Knight, who can be a bit full of himself at times. But, hey, you can't win them all, right?
Thankfully, I hit it off right away with Avery, the receptionist. We've become fast friends, and it's been great having someone to chat with every day. I really enjoy coming into work each morning and being surrounded by such a diverse and dynamic group of people.
I've even started to develop a little routine of grabbing coffee on my way in – one for me, one for Mrs. Clark, and one for Avery. It's those simple moments that really make my day here at Knights Empire Industry all the more special.

Presenting my stylish self in a chic black dress that falls between a mini and a midi. Paired with a crisp white jacket and trendy black boots. Keeping my beautiful brown hair up in a sophisticated ponytail, I grabbed three cups of coffee from Starbucks to power through the day. Just as I was heading towards the towering Knight Empire, a mysterious figure in all black handed me a cryptic folder and whispered "Keep it." Intrigued and puzzled, I stood frozen, wondering what secrets lay inside. Time will unveil the truth behind this intriguing encounter.

"What's with the unexpected act of kindness?" I muttered to myself, deciding to wait until I got to the office before opening the mysterious folder. I confidently entered the Knight Empire's Skyscraper, exuding self-assurance. Stepping past Avery's desk, I left a cup of coffee, solidifying our bond. "Aw, you shouldn't have!" Avery exclaimed happily. "Oh, it's the least I can do for a friend in need," I replied playfully. Moving on to Mrs. Elle Clark's office, I placed the coffee on her desk and received her grateful thanks. Despite my outward composure, my mind was still preoccupied with the brown folder from the mysterious figure. What could it possibly hold?

"Well, well, well, what's got you looking like a cat on a hot tin roof?" she asked quietly."Oh, nothing, just feeling like a rooster who crowed too early," I replied, avoiding her eyes like I was playing dodgeball. It wasn't until I wandered over to my desk and saw that ominous folder that things took a turn. Perching myself on my chair, I nervously nibbled on my lip and mustered the courage to delve into its contents. To my surprise, my skin started to tingle as I laid eyes on what was inside. Confidential information about Knight Empire, my employer, as well as some highly personal details about upcoming deals. Isn't that strange? Such top-secret info is usually only seen by the boss and company important intimate peoples.

Have you ever had that urge to spill a secret that's been weighing heavy on your heart? That was me as I made my way to the elevator, clutching my trusty brown folder full of truths waiting to be told. As I rode up to the CEO's Floor, my pulse quickened with excitement. I knew that confiding in the CEO was my key to unlocking the answers I sought. Upon reaching his office, I was warmly greeted by his assistant, Ancy. With her encouragement, I felt empowered to share my burden and take the first step towards unraveling a mystery that had consumed me for too long.

As I felt sweat dripping down my forehead and cramps twisting in my stomach, I anxiously approached the receptionist and pleaded, "Could I please speak with Mr. Knight? It's really important." Her smile faded as she gently responded, "I'm sorry, Eter. Sir is currently in California."
Feeling defeated, I mumbled, "Okay," holding onto my folder like it was a lifeline. The receptionist kindly asked if she could assist me with anything, but I couldn't find the words to respond. Giving her a weak smile, I thanked her and walked away from the CEO's office.
Later that evening, I was deeply focused on my work when a bodyguard suddenly appeared before me. "Excuse me, Miss Granger, you've been summoned to the CEO's office," he informed me. With a sense of unease, I stood up and made my way to the elevator, my heart racing with anticipation of what was to come.
Upon entering Aaron's office, my eyes landed on two individuals.

The room was filled with a middle-aged man exhibiting a stern expression, accompanied by a young girl who appeared innocent in contrast. They were surrounded by several serious-looking lawyers, all focused on the matter at hand. Regrettably, my boss Aaron Knight was absent. Upon noticing me, the middle-aged man stood up and introduced himself as Coyle.

Despite his stern demeanor, he greeted me politely before immediately delving into the matter at hand.
"I'm glad you could make it today, Miss Granger. We need to gather information on your whereabouts this morning and the individuals you interacted with," he stated, foregoing any pleasantries.
In response, I remained composed and inquired, "I would be happy to assist, but could you provide some context for these inquiries?"
His young colleague, sporting a ponytail with blonde hair, interjected, "This pertains to an ongoing criminal investigation." With a firm and direct tone, she continued, "Our surveillance and findings suggest that you received a package earlier today." The mention of the package instantly jogged my memory of the mysterious delivery that had arrived earlier. "I did receive something," I explained to them.

The woman gave me a puzzled and worried look, softly saying, "Oh." Coyle then asked me, "Do you have that document?" I nervously replied, "Yes, it's on my desk." After what seemed like forever, the guard finally returned with the document. They carefully examined it and their expressions dropped as they realized it contained confidential information about Knight Industries. Coyle turned to me with suspicion evident in his voice, asking, "Why would someone give you these documents? Were they gathering them for you?" Feeling my anxiety heighten, they began questioning me about the situation.

I attempted to stay composed, but ended up lightly biting my tongue and taking a long breath. Even though I was scared, I stood firm in my stance that I had no connection to the hooded man. Thankfully, it seemed they bought my story. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Aaron Knight, the CEO of Knight Industries, strolled in wearing a sharp, wrinkle-free Armani suit with two men trailing behind him. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance towards the conceited jerk.

Abby Coyle! He noticed us and gave us a tired look. His intense blue eyes focused on me, and I could feel his unwavering stare. Despite his messy hair showing signs of frustration, he still had a captivating charm. But as I studied his face, I couldn't ignore the intensity of his gaze, the tension in his jaw, the furrowed brows, and the redness in his skin, all revealing his pent-up frustration.
"You!" he yelled, his voice ringing through the room, his furrowed brows and clenched teeth sending a chill down my spine, making my muscles tense and causing cramps in my stomach.
In that moment, I realized the seriousness of the trouble I had gotten myself into.
