As I jolted awake, I couldn't help but flinch as I peeled myself away from the cozy pink duvet. It felt like an eternity of deliberation before I finally unveiled my face to the blinding sunlight streaming through the window. I questioned if I had suddenly gone blind! With groggy feet, I clumsily shuffled out of bed, rubbing my knuckles into my tired eyes. I was ready for a good stretch and a boisterous yawn. But when I reached out to touch the chilly off-white carpet, something felt off. Wait a minute, this wasn't my usual room! As I surveyed my unfamiliar surroundings, my mind immediately raced back to the time I had to play pretend as Aaron Knight's fake wife. It all clicked in my head - I was in my husband's house. Glancing at the digital clock on the wall, I begrudgingly accepted that it was already 8:50 a.m. Time to embrace the day with open arms!

Lately, I've been able to catch up on some much-needed sleep, allowing me to do some deep thinking. My dear grandmother always emphasized the importance of being an ideal wife, and although I never imagined myself in this situation, I find myself married to someone who appears to prioritize his business and wealth above all else. Nonetheless, I am determined to put in the effort to make our relationship work. I aspire to embody the same qualities as my grandmother did for my grandfather, even if my husband has yet to show much interest in me. With this in mind, I decided to cook a special meal for him, hoping to gain a better understanding of him. Who knows? Perhaps there is a different side to him that I have yet to discover. As I prepared for this dinner, I eagerly placed my oversized top and shorts back in the closet, ready to make a genuine effort in nurturing our connection.

I slipped on a cozy cardigan over my beautiful white floral dress and stepped out of my room, greeted by a few hardworking maids. They smiled warmly at me as I made my way to the kitchen, where I found Amy slicing cucumbers.
"Hey, Amy," I called out.
"Good morning, dear. Did you have a restful night?" she asked.
"Yes, it was wonderful," I replied, admiring the kitchen's beauty. "This kitchen is lovely!"
Amy poured me a cup of coffee and handed it to me. "Here you go."
"Thank you, Amy," I said, taking a sip.
"So, what would you like for dinner tonight?" she inquired.
"Well, I was thinking of preparing a meal for Aaron when he comes home," I explained.
"Aaron usually gets home after 11 p.m.," she informed me.
We continued our conversation, planning the day ahead in a friendly and positive manner.

"Goodbye, Amy! Time for me to show off my skills in the kitchen," I exclaimed with a grin. "But wait, you might need my assistance," she replied with a playful smirk. "No worries, I've got this. Just let me know where the spices and ingredients are and I'll work my magic," I confidently stated, leaning over the kitchen island like a seasoned chef. Once I started cooking, I completely immersed myself in creating a delicious meal that would impress my husband. I decided to make Mac and Cheese, spaghetti, a Key Lime Pie, and for dessert, a special Indian sweet called Carrot Halwa. The recipe was passed down from my grandmother, who is an expert in Indian cuisine. After finishing the dishes and garnishing the Carrot Halwa with some crunchy dry fruits, I glanced at the clock feeling proud of my culinary skills. Suddenly, I realized that Aaron was on his way and he has a habit of showing up unexpectedly. I quickly cleaned up and headed to my room to freshen up before his arrival."
