CHAPTER 6
It's been a couple of hours since Angela and that William left and up until now, wala pa rin sila.
We were both silent and just watching the people in front of us. We didn't really drink much compared to his friends na halos ubusin na ang mga inumin.
"Do you want to go home?" He shouted so he can hear me. The music is too loud that talking softly won't work. "I guess your friend and my cousin aren't coming back anymore." Dagdag niya.
"Did you know where they went?" I asked. Where could they be?
"Nope. I will drive you home." He volunteered. Char.
"Ah. Okay lang ba?" I shyly asked. Syempre, dapat medyo pabebe rin.
"Yeah. It's not safe to ride a taxi at this hour." I tried not to suppress a smile so that he won't notice that he's already giving me butterflies.
I nodded and he stood up first. The way out was too crowded that it took us long to get out.
There are a lot of cars parked outside so I don't know which one is his. I just followed him from the back feeling exhausted.
"C'mon." He called me and opened the doors.
That manly scent. Nilibot ko ang tingin sa sasakyan niya.
He has shirts and folders at back. It's actually arranged kaya hindi magulo tingnan. The rosary beads moved as he entered from the driver's so it caught my attention.
Umayos ako ng upo at nag-seatbelt. I can hear the crickets throughout the ride because of our silence. It was already midnight so walang traffic and wala masyadong sasakyan sa daan.
I suddenly remembered Kyrelle, naalala kong sabay pala dapat kaming umuwi. It's already late, for sure she's home already.
I was just spaced out the whole ride that I didn't notice we are in front of my apartment already. I don't remember telling him where I live. I looked at him who is just silently waiting for me to go out.
"Pano mo nalaman kung saan ako nakatira?" I curiously asked.
"You really can't remember huh?" he asked.
"Ang alin?" Kumunot ang noo ko trying to think kung ano ba ang hindi ko maalala. Ano bang dapat kong alalahanin?
"Nothing." Sagot niya. I just nodded and opened the doors. I am really curious but I can't force him to tell me the truth as well.
"Thank you for the ride." Sa susunod ulit. Char. He just nodded and waved goodbye.
I immediately took a quick bath kasi ang lagkit ng pakiramdam ko. I went to bed after and stared at my phone. Should I ask him why he knows where I live? It's an excuse to chat with him.
