Julien's P.O.V

Water dripped from the ceiling and rats ran across the floor. The room smelled of mildew and screams echoed through my ears.

I rocked back and forth trying to keep what little sanity I had left. I've been locked up for over two hundred years.

I hear the main door open and then footsteps as one of the guards walks to my cell.

He opens the door and puts a brown bag down on the bed. He gives me a longing look before leaving again.

After the door is firmly locked in place, I stand up and walk over to the bag. Inside is a package of pens and pencils, five notebooks, and three bags of blood.

I take the bag and sit in the far corner of the room to write. I write to keep my sanity intact and to keep up with the days. The little moonlight that shone through the grate on the ceiling gave me just enough light to see what I was doing.

Day 109,575...

Codell's P.O.V

"Alright so I'll go get Julien and we will get this plan rolling." Remy said.

"You go get him I'll take Amelie over to our family's personal lodge a few states over and then we will meet over at the graveyard within the next three days." I say.

"Be careful Remy." Amelie said while hugging him.

"You too, sis." He replied and then kissed her forehead.

The ride to the lodge was mostly in silence. Amelie slept for a while and then when she was awake she just stared out the window.

I can't really say I blame her, this is probably hard on her. She's being whisked away to somewhere she has never even been.

It was almost midnight when I pulled into the lodge. Amelie was almost in a deep sleep.

"Hey, we're here." I say turning off the car.

She groaned and snuggled further into the seat.

I sigh and walk over to her side of the car. I threw her bag over my shoulder and then picked her up. She buried her nose in my neck almost as if it was an instinct.

I unlocked the lodge doors and carried her upstairs too the master bedroom.

I laid her down on the bed and then covered her up. I tossed her bag too the side of the room and started to leave.

"Wait." She said sleepily.

"Hmm?"

"Don't leave. Not yet." She said while struggling to keep her head up.

"What's wrong?" I ask sitting on the bed next to her.

"Help me change into my nightgown." She said while trying to get her blouse unbuttoned.

"Okay." I say while going to get her nightgown, at least I hope thats what I grabbed.

I go over to her and hesitantly start to unbutton her blouse. I tried my best to only look at her face but it got increasingly difficult when I had to get her pants off.

I closed my eyes and kept telling myself that she was married and that this was innocent, that I was only helping her. Nothing was going to happen.

I got her pants off and went to put her gown over her head when she grabbed my hands. I look into her eyes and see tat she is fully awake.

"You just tricked me didn't you?" I ask.

"It was too easy." She said while taking my shirt off.

"We shouldn't do this." I gasp out.

"Why? You want too, I want too. We're both consenting adults."

"You're married."

"I have a confession. I never signed our marriage papers so technically we aren't married." I looked at her shocked. She was so much smarter than I ever thought.

Before I could reply she started to kiss my neck.

I woke up later that morning with Amelie curled up in my arms. She stirred a little before rolling over on top of me. I messed with her hair until she finally woke up.

She blushed, or well I assume that she was, before climbing off of me.

She threw my boxers at me before throwing on my shirt and walking downstairs.

I head down after her and see her in the kitchen trying to reach a bowl from the top shelf. I laugh and lean over her to grab it.

"Show off." She said.

"Shorty." I reply kissing her.

"Woah what did I walk into?" I hear someone say behind us.

"Julien." Amelie said while walking over to him.

"Hello, love, how've you been?"

"Good, and you?"

"Well, your lovely brother just helped me escape from prison so I've never been better. You seem to have found yourself a new lover."

"More like he found me."

I cleared my throat.

"Hey yeah uh I'm still here."

"Right, Codell this is an old friend of mine, Julien. Julien this is Codell."

"Speaking of Remy, where is he?"

"Oh he's around." Julien replied nonchalantly.

"Right well, if you will excuse us we should probably put some more clothes on. I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here." I say while pulling Amelie upstairs with me.
