I ran through the house chasing after my little sister. She was giggling and trying not to trip the whole time.

She had taken my favorite car while I was playing and I wanted it back. I faintly heard my parents yelling at us for running inside but I didn't really care at the moment.

 She ran through the back door and into the woods.  I ran after her and tried to keep up but she seemed to be getting away quickly. I get too the end of the woods and look out at the lake. Her scent ended here and there was no explanation as too why.

She wouldn't dare go into the water. She's been scared of water since she was born. I start to head back to the house when I hear my sister scream.

"Codell! Help!"

I turn and see her struggling to keep her head above the water.

"Marcie. Keep your head up I'm coming!" I yell. I run over to the dock where she was and bend down to help her. I grab her arms and start pulling her up. Her arms are slippery from the water and I struggle to hold my grip.

I almost had her up when her foot got stuck on a weed.

"Codell pull me up! Hurry!"

"I'm trying. Hold on to the dock." I jump in and try to loosen the weeds but they wont let go. I go back to the surface and get on the dock to try pulling her up again.

As soon as I go to grab her she slips beneath the surface of the water.

"Marcie!"

Air bubbles come to the surface and pop. I jump back in the water and grab Marcie. Pulling her onto the dock, I try to get her to breathe. I push on her chest and give her mouth to mouth, but nothing works.

She wont wake up. Her heart wont beat. I try for a few more minutes. I start to cry; my little sister is dead. In her hand is my car. I pick it up and then hug Marcie. I cry into her neck.

This was all my fault, if I had been stronger I could have saved her.

I screamed.

~~~
I woke up in a sweat. Fresh tears streamed down my face. I haven't had that nightmare in a long time.
After I left Amelie's wedding last night I had been in a strange mood. Bad memories kept coming to the surface and I kept having this strange feeling that something wasn't right.
I had put it off as my wolf just being a drama queen and trying to make me feel bad for letting her go so easily.
I couldn't force her to be with me. As much as I wanted to be with her I knew it wouldn't happen as long as Vincent and her parents were around.
I rubbed my face and got up begrudgingly. I got half way to my bathroom when my mom knocked on my door and said someone was waiting in the office to speak with me.
"Tell them I'll be down in five minutes." I hurriedly got dressed, fixed my hair the best I could, and brushed my teeth before taking the stairs three at a time to get to my office.
When I walked in a saw a man who looked a lot like Amelie waiting on me. I remember seeing him at her wedding.
"Hello." I say.
"You must be Codell." He said extending his arm out too me.
I shake his hand before sitting down.
"So, uh, what brings you too my office?"
"It's about my sister."
"Is something wrong?"
"I'm not sure. She told me something yesterday and I thought you should know." He paused for a second. "She can see parts of the future. She told me that... she saw part of her future with Vincent and that it wasn't good."
"What do you mean by not good?"
"She told you about Claude didn't she?"
"She might've mentioned him."
"Well, she told me, that what happens in the future is worse than him. I'm almost one hundred percent positive she didn't tell you everything that happened to her when she was with him. And I won't be the one to tell you."
"Why are you telling me all of this.."
"Remy. And because I know you and her are mates. I also know that you two have been speaking privately for the past year."
"How do you know all of this?"
"Amelie and I are twins. She tells me everything. Sometimes more than I want to know but you know that comes with the whole twin thing."
"Right, well I can't do anything to help. She's married, whatever they do together is none of my business."
"It is when her life is on the line. I love my sister, and if anything happens to her... well let's just say there may be a repeat of the bubonic plague."
"Well what am I supposed to do? Woo her? Win her over?"
"No. Something better, and more fun."
"I don't like that smile you have Remy."
"Help me kill him."
"Are you insane?"
"Maybe but that's besides the point. Look, I know someone who will do all the dirty work you and I just have to tell him what to do and when."
"How do you know someone like this?"
"When you've been alive as long as I have, you meet a lot of people."
"Right well, we can't just kill him. From what I've hear he's royalty of some sort, people will know he's gone."
"That's where I come in. I can erase memories."
I sat there baffled; trying to wrap my head around this. Here I was discussing ways to kill my mates husband with her brother.
"What if this backfires?"
"It wont. I know people. I will get her away from him for however long we need and then we can find a way to get too him. We just need a reason and a safe place for her."
"And she'll just be okay with us whisking her away and basically keeping her hostage?"
"You aren't keeping me hostage if I go willingly." Amelie said walking in the room.
"When did you get here?" I ask in disbelief.
"I was talking to your mother."
"Right." I say still in shock of the situation.
"I'm going to hell for this aren't I?" I scoff.
Amelie got up and walked over too me. She grabbed my hand and kissed my forehead.
"I'm sorry that I'm bringing you into this. But I have no other options." She whispers in my ear. I was too nervous to move or do anything that might scare her away. I know she doesn't have feelings for me but I was just glad that she didn't just leave.
"It's okay. Anything for you." I reply barely audible.
