CARL'S P.O.V
The tears streamed down my face as she raised her voice.
"Please...Paige...give me another chance...just please..."
She turned her back to me. I could feel her light sobs against the mattress.
I rubbed her back, but she thrashed a bit, signaling me to get off.
I sat down on the ground beside her.
"Please, Paige...just please forgive me..."
She was still facing the couch.
She muttered,"The best part of being in a relationship is sharing your life with someone else, but, evidently, my life isn't good enough to share...I just can't, Carl..."
