BETH'S P.O.V
Carl calmly shut the door behind him as he walked in. "Oh, she's stopped shaking!" He said excitedly. I replied,"Yeah, she is sleeping. She told me that the medicine eased the pain a bit..." Carl smirked,"Good, I'm glad..." He looked down at his feet. "What happened," I asked knowing something was wrong," Was it Ri-" Before I could finish my word, he nodded his head, saying,"Yeah...called me a brat..." A single tear rolled down his cheek. I squinted my eyes in disgust."He has started to go too far with this..." He agreed with me,"I know...but, I mean...there is nothing I can do about it..." I finished the sentence for him. "Because he's your dad, I know..." Carl nodded. Silence filled the room. Awkward silence. Then, we heard a half human, half inhuman groan and a deep raspy breath.

Carl spun around on his heels,"Paige!" He ran up to her and grabbed her hand. Paige mumbled,"Hi...I'm still tired...G-gonna try to go back to bed..." Her eyes slowly closed. "Okay, okay...go to sleep..." Carl said with tears swelled in his eyes. He sat there, rubbing her back for about 20 minutes. "Thank you again for being her for me, Beth..." "It's okay, anytime." I replied, smirking. He flipped the hair out of his eyes, sitting next to me. "Just...thank you...thank...you." He said looking into my eyes, slowly leaning towards me as I did, too. Our lips pressed against each other for a minute, then we released. "I-I'm sorry..." He said pursing his lips while looking down at the ground. I said,"Yeah, I'm sorry, too..." I added,"You still like Paige, right?" He nodded his head,"I just don't know...she's perfect...well, to me..."

I smiled because of his sweetness,"I know, I'm sorry, we shouldn't have..." He agreed then said,"I know who you like..."
"Who?"
"Daryl, everyone can tell, except Daryl. But, he definitely likes you, too."
"I-I do...I do like him..."
It's scary how he could tell.
DARYL'S P.O.V
At least Beth didn't know I had been standing outside the door when she said that. I chuckled, and smirked, then slowly walked back to the Sleeping Room.
