"Did my invitations disappear
Why'd I put my heart on every cursive letter?
Tell me why the hell no one is here
Tell me what to do to make it all feel better

Maybe it's a cruel joke on me
Whatever, whatever
Just means there's way more cake for me
Forever, forever..."

"Well hello there cutie. Welcome to Starbucks. What can I get for you?"

Andy eyed the hot drink choices with an uncertain grimace. She didn't even know what she was doing right now. Normally she avoided this kind of place like the plague. She wasn't one of those preppy and outgoing girls or hipsters that went to that kind of place.

She much preferred the cozy little cafes that gave off a good smell of pure coffee beans.

Certainly not the shiny places that reeked of glucose and calories. And yet she was doing herself violence by being here.

She had truly become desperate.

"Mhm... can I have a Vanilla Cappuccino and a Caramel Macchiato, please?"

The waitress, Stacy, as it read on her tag paused before arching an eyebrow at Andy's dubious expression."You sure?"

"Yeah? Why? It's not a good choice?"

Stacy let out a chuckle in recognition of the brunette's amateurism before shaking her head with a small smile as she began to brew her drinks."Nah, just checking."

Andy gave a puzzled look at the blonde a little too enthusiastic for her own good before shaking her head as she spun on her heels to watch the trendy little cafe critically. She had to admit that the vibe it gave off was rather relaxing. There was a kind of zen music and decorations totally in keeping with the preppy style of the waitress.

However, it was still a place definitely at odds with her personality.

She shook her head for the umpteenth time today.

It was Thanksgiving weekend and for the very first time in her life Andy had absolutely nothing planned.

Usually she already knew what she was going to do. It had become something of a tradition that the morning after Thanksgiving, Andy would break into the Bowens' house to spend the rest of the day with Ricky watching silly movies on TV. They would have food contests until they vomited and they would end up spending all the calories in the skateparks.
