finding love victoriously

chapter 4

"Sinjin?" Beck shouted after I told him what just happened.

"I know right? I couldn't believe it either! I thought she couldn't even stand being near him, let alone... never mind, anyways what are we going to do?"

"What we do best. Act."

"What are we doing this time?" I ask, honestly curious.

He tells me the plan and I smile wickedly, "Will this actually work?"

"I don't know it's better to try and find out, then for me to get stuck with a girl because of a baby that doesn't exist." He said sounding annoyed.

"True." I say walking towards the phone to call the hospital, and he pulls his phone out to text Jade.

"Hello, yes, My name is Jade West and I think I'm Pregnant, and I don't trust store bought tests, so I was wondering if I could set up an appointment for anytime soon?" I say in my best Jade voice, even though the person on the other side wouldn't know.

"Sure, do you have a preferred doctor?"  said a woman.

"No, any doctor is good."

"OK, so we have an opening for tomorrow at 5:30 with Doctor Abdul, is that okay?"

"5:30 tomorrow..." I stop as if I'm thinking, but I'm looking at Beck to see if he agrees with that time.

"Later?" he mouths, I ask the lady if they have any time later than that.

"We have 6:45 with DR. Shah, and 8:15 with Dr. Abdul also."

"So, its 6:45 or 8:15" I say looking at Beck who is holding up eight fingers.

"Eight fifteen with Doctor Abdul then. That's more convenient for me." I tell the lady on the phone. Who then asks me for some information about Jade that I strangely know.

"Okay you're all set, make sure you're here earlier in case the doctor finishes earlier."

"OK, thank you, have a nice day." I say hanging up.

"So, eight fifteen, I'll ask Jade."  Beck says, calling Jade.

"Hey babe," he says with a disgusted face, "I was wondering if you wanted t go out tomorrow?"

"Cool, great, I'll text you the details later on.I have to finish my homework, bye, love you." he said then hung up without giving her time to answer.

"I can't stand lying like that,  I assure him.

"Why do I have to pretend?" He asks annoyed.

"Just for one more day babe." I assure him.

"Good, I couldn't do it any longer." He says kissing my lips lightly.

"I love you." I tell him.

"I love you." He answers me.

"So, tomorrow, make sure you're wearing the camera, and everything, I want to see her reaction."

"Oh, don't worry I won't forget." he says with a smirk.

"Tori, it's getting late, Is Beck spending the night or leaving?" Mom asks.

Mom doesn't like going to sleep until our guests are either gone, or sure they're staying the night.

"I have to go back home." Beck said kissing my lips lightly again before getting up and walking towards the door, with me besides him.

"Bye Mrs.Vega" He says as I close the door behind me, to give him another kiss, a longer one that made my weak in the knees.

"I love you." He says one last time before walking away.

"I love you." I say to his back.

When I go back inside my mom asks me to sit down on the couch with her.

"What's going on?" She asks me.

"What do you mean?"

"I thought you and Beck broke up, why did he just kiss you, doesn't he have a girlfriend? What is going on?" She asks honestly worried.

 I explain to her everything that is happening, and I tell her our plan so she's not confused. When I finish telling her, she says that Jade is a long list of words that you will never find in the Bible, or any kids book.

I've honestly heard anyone cuss as much as my mom did in just that sentence to be honest, and I'm in high school, which is saying something.

I just laughed, and she told me about a girl in her high school who faked a pregnancy, then in the end, she ended up being actually pregnant, and nobody knew who the father was, not even the mother.

That's a terrible way to live, I wouldn't want it for anyone, not even Jade, not knowing who your kids father is. Not only does that make you feel terrible, but it will affect your kid. It's terribly sad.

 The next day I'm waiting for Beck to call me to tell me that he's about to pick up Jade, and that he's wearing the camera.

"Good, Good luck Beck, honestly." I say.

"Crap, she's here I got to go. Love ya," he says hanging up before I could answer.

The rest of the day is spent waiting in front of the television, with the phone by my side.

What is taking so long? Maybe there is a long list? Maybe Jade found out our plan? The waiting was killing me, why isn't he calling?

Is everything okay?

I hope everything is okay.

I look at the clock and see that it's only 8:30

 I tell myself that I'm just making a big deal out of nothing. 

I start to worry again, then notice only five minutes have passed by.

 I decide to keep my mind busy, by watching ICarly.  I haven't missed an episode since we found out that 'He Who shall not be named' had been using the both of us. The girls are actually funny.

When the show was over, I was feeling way better. I went and started watching more videos on YouTube.

I completely forgot about the plan until ten something when my phone started ringing.

"Are you home?" Where the first words out of Becks mouth.

"Yeah, is everything okay?" I asked super worried by the tone of his voice.

"Yes, and no."

"What do you mean, yes an no?" I ask.

"I think you better see this." He says. "I'll be over in ten minutes." he adds then hangs up.

 Ten minutes later when Beck gets here, there is only confusion on his face.

"Beck, what's wrong?"

He just walks towards the couch and sits down, plugging the camera in to my Pear Pad he sets up the video and gives me the pear pad.
