LIGHT IN MY LIFE OF DARKNESS

CHAPTER 2

Kiara's POV:

I got up in the morning and did my chores and left for my office.

Melisa came into my cabin and she informed me that Chris and Katherine are here. I was shocked to know that they are here in the office and also at this point. I asked her to send them in and not disturb me for the next half an hour. By the way, Katherine and Chris are married and their parents love me as their child. After my parents left me, I came to New York with Rohan bhaiya. I started college and there I met Chris, Katherine who are elder to me, Maria is of my age. I am a very silent girl as I was no more that bubbly girl after that incident. I was in the shock as my own family didn't not believe me. The one who at least bought a smile on my face are them, along with mom. Because of them, I am here with the support of bhabhi. A person who was not related to me loved me more than anything in this world. I was bought out of my thoughts when Chris called me.

"Hello, poupeé" greeted Katherine. She is my pillar after bhaiya and Mom(Rohan's mother ). I got an elder sister through her.

"Hello di, how are you? How are aunt and uncle? " I inquired with a smile.

"They are fine and are missing you a lot." Replied Chris. He asked, no threatened me to call Chris because he says it is weird to hear someone calling him bhaiya. But he is my shadow all the time. Bhaiya is my pillar where as Chris is my shadow.

"Why this sudden visit Chris?" I asked by raising my eyebrow.

"Oh, mom invited you for lunch as Gaurav is coming and everyone is meeting today. So mom suggested having you at the dinner. She was emotionally blackmailing us to have dinner at home so we could not refuse her ." Replied Chris.

"Ok I will come and it has been a long time since that I have met Amelia. ( Chris and di's daughter.) " I told.

"I am going for shopping with Chris to buy few clothes for Amelia. Will you join us?" Asked di. 

"No, you carry on. I do not want to be the third wheel because I know how romantic you both can get. I am very well aware of it from college time. So  I do not want my poor virgin eyes to see it." I teased. They both glared at me and left .

I had a meeting to discuss about the new fashion line I am starting under the name of bhabhi (Isha). She was very close to my heart. She is my second mother who is no more. I felt my wet eyes but I stop them because I do not want anyone to see me vulnerable .

Melissa informed me that I have a meeting with the Rathore group of companies tomorrow. It is a top notch company in the construction business and I want to expand my business in India. But I still feel scared to go to India after 3 years as I have to face my past. I decided to allow Gaurav and Maria to handle the company as they are already handling SS music and even Adrija is there. She looks after Happy Life Orphanages and SS business firm which is one of the top business firms in the world. I hold 50 percent shares in both companies. Along with Adhrija, my brother Rahul also looks after the orphanages and NGOs which I own across the globe, especially in India. Rahul supported me without even having any second thoughts but without the knowledge of my so-called family. NGO's is mainly for women who get raped or who are widows. When I was thinking about it I got a call from Adrija.

"Hello di." Adhrija greeted.

"Hello Adhri. " I replied warmly. 

"Di, I found 6 new children who were saved from human trafficking by Vikram." She said.

"Ok Adhri, name the children and send them to New York. I will keep them here because I know what they will go through and even send the bastards here. I will show them what's is the real meaning of hell." I replied in anger.

"Ok, di. I am coming with them tomorrow ." Adhrija says. 

"Ok then I will ask Melissa to get the jet ready ." I said determined.

" Ok di . Bye love you di." Adhrija say and cut the call.

I can feel a small smile on my face. I feel happy whenever Adhrija says I love you di. Adhrika is like a fireball . She knows how to lift people's moods up.
