Anant ji came inside and sat beside me.
"Did you married me because your family wanted? Or because everyone should marry?" I asked as he looked at me.
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that is it too bad to marry a person without falling in love before?" I said before turning away from him.
"No it's not and I really love you, even though I don't know you much..." he sighed.
"Then why you didn't explain to them for me? You should have fight for your wife"
"But it would only led misunderstanding among family and I don't want that. I guess now you know how my family is? You have to cop up and it will be good for all of us" he explained.
"Ok ok but how the hell I can live without eating?!" I nearly yelled.
"Um...please compromise today and you will get to eat at the evening " he nervously smiled as I passed him a glare.
.
Uwa! I'm hungry!
The opened my phone and started listening to songs...Hindi though.
But how long can I survive with music? So I planned to sleep but... now I CAN'T! I stood up and went to the balcony.
"Take it
"Gotcha!"
"Now pass it to me!"
"No I won't! *shows tongue*"
"*cries*"
I laughed at the little children who were playing on the garden. They are probably my in-law's daughter and son.
I sighed before sitting on my bed. I opened my phone again but found no charge. I never been so bored before.
.
"Manpriya?"
I opened my eyes with the voice as Shakshi and Nilangana came in quietly.
"What's the matter?" I asked
"Here, I brought the lunch. Quickly eat it before someone comes" Shakshi smiled as I looked at her with Awe.
"Are you for real? You are offering me to eat?" I confirmed.
"Haha, yes. I know you are not used to all these that's why I managed to bring the food " she said.
"Priya, just finish it before someone comes" Nilangana said.
"Seems like something is going on here"
We frozed in our place and slowly turned back to see Disha was standing there with a smirk.
"Shit! I forgot to lock the door" Shakshi muttered.
"Language, my elder sister-in-law " she smirked.
"Disha, please don't te-"
"Mom! Come here and see what's going on!" She shouted at the top of her lungs before we could explain anything.
"What happened, Disha?" Mrs Chauhan asked as she came inside. She looked at her and then her eyes travelled down to the plate in my hands.
"I guess I don't need to make you understand anything, mom" Disha said with a devilish smile.
"What's going on here?" Mrs Chauhan shouted angrily "And Shakshi, you also?"
"M-mom, I a-am sorry. She was hungry so-"
"So what? Only because she is hungry that dosen't mean that you will break my rules!" She scolded her.
"Don't scold her. She just wanted to hel-" I was about to say when she came to me and threw the dish on the floor making a loud thud as the plate broke into pieces.
"Don't dare to disobey me again!" She warned as all the family members came running to see what happened.
My mother-in-law went out of the room angrily as everyone slowly followed her along with Shakshi.
"Don't be sad, Priya" Nilangana said.
"Why I'm married in this family? And how can they treat me on the next day only?" I asked as she hugged me.
"Don't worry too much. Tomorrow everyone from our family will come.."
"And then you'll also go from here" I finished the sentence "I'll be left alone among them
"But Anant jiju (cousin-in-law) is really good. He will always be with you" she smiled.
"Yea...I guess"
.
I waited eagerly as the clock turned 5 and the environment became saffron.
"Finally! I can eat something now!" I said to myself and about to go out when Anant ji came inside.
"I'm here with you food" he smiled and set the plates.
"Thank you soo much!" I said and started eating. Gosh! I was so hungry! I finally finished all the food and laid on the bed."Heaven!" I muttered.
"It feels the same" he smiled and placed the plates in the sink and washed his hands.
"I thought I'll die today " I laughed a little as he sat beside me
He chuckled and said "Don't forget to wake up early tomorrow and then we have lots of preparations to do for the feast"
"Anant ji...why your mother hates me so much?" I asked.
"She doesn't hates you, stupid! Her way of explanation is too harsh but if you understand her more, you will find her pretty good" he said.
"And your sister?"
"Aa...I really don't understand her. She just hates everyone and it's not anything new" He nervously said "Leave her, you don't have to take her seriously "
"Hmm"
"Now take rest and-"
"I'm doing this the whole day" I rolled my eyes.
"Then why don't you come with me and I'll show you the house?" He smiled as I nodded. We went out to discover the large bungalow and the first place we went is the garden.
Ah! The garden is much more larger then ours and my favorite jasmine plant is also there. The place is really beautiful...but definitely not the people.
"Did you like it?" He asked.
"Yes! Its beautiful!" I smiled
"Just like you" he returned the smile as we went to the terrace to discover new sights.
