Manpriya's POV:
It's already evening and Anant still haven't called me nor texted. I'm really nervous about what happened there. I was having a tasty chocolate cake when the door bell rang.
"Manprit, go and open the door" I ordered.
"Request" he said.
"I beg your pardon?" I raised my eyebrows
"I won't open the door unless you request to me" he smirked as the door bell rang again.
"Uff- we can do this later also. Go and open the door first" I said.
"Is it so difficult to request to me?" He asked.
"Yup!" I said crewing a tasty part of this little heaven
"Then go and open yourself" he said, and started scrolling down his phone as the door bell rang again.
"Hey! The person maybe pissed off now. Please go and open it!" I said.
"Just because you said "Please" that's why I'm going" he smirked as he went to open it.
Weirdo!
He opened the door as I put the next piece into my mouth when my sight fell on the person standing near the door.
"How are you Manp-"
"*chokes* *cough* *cough*" seems like the cake stucked in my throat.
"Are you okay?" Manprit and Anant asked, panicked.
"*Cough* I-I am f-fin-" I rushed inside the washroom ignoring everyone. After throwing up everything I washed my face and came out.
Damn! It's was super embrassing! I wonder what will she think and most importantly, why my mother-in-law here? Did she prepare the divorce paper? God, first of all I'm a little too good in her eyes and now this drama! I'm seriously a joke for the hell!
I came outside and saw my mother-in-law already took a seat as my mom served her tea with my favourite cookies. Uwa! That's my special ones!
Everyone was quite and mom was giving me dead stares as usual and dad seems to be nervous. I ignored everyone and took a seat a little far from her.
"So would you like to have something?" My dad asked her, as everyone was silent and that was killing me.
"Your wife already served the tea and I'm pretty fine with it" Mrs Chauhan replied, without any emotion. I looked at Anant who was continuously adoring me. God, can he stop staring at me? It's hella creepy!
"Um...so what brought you here?" I asked her and the next moment everyone glared at me.
"Why? Can't I come here?" She asked me.
"N-No it's not like that. And I'm really sorry to ask you and did you come here for the divorce?" I asked her again a shitty question as my mom pinched me hard.
"Seems like you're quite excited"
"No no no! It's nothing like that" I shook my head rapidly as she sighed.
"Actually I came here to apologise" she said as everyone looked at her with shock.
"Ah! I knew it! Seems like you've realised your mistak-" I got overexcited when mom pinched me again.
"Don't mind her, she just splitting nonsense. What were you saying?" My mom nervously smiled.
She can't talk freely to her best friend also? *rolls eyes*
"Yea I'm sorry, hehe" I apologized.
"It's okay" Mrs Chauhan said and told us the whole incident and how she and Radhika managed to know the truth. I am seriously s-h-o-c-k-e-d! I never knew that she actually have a brain! I mean she knows what a brain is?
"Yes and that's why mom came here to bring you back" Anant smiled and me too.
"Forgive me Manpriya, will you?" She said.
Aww! She apologized? OMG! Am I dreaming?!
"Please don't, I never blamed you" I said
Author : *averts eyes* Liar!
"I'm glad" she smiled.
"And I'm really happy that the problem is solved. I hope I can get along with Disha well in this months" I said as mom and dad sighed in relief.
"Now if everything is solved, go pack your bags and get out of the house!" Manprit said as I kicked him.
"Seems like you're so eager to send me there?"
"Why not? You are a complete burden-"
"Dare to complete it and I'll introduce you to the demon of underworld" I gritted my teeth.
"Wow! That's seems interesting!" He smiled as everyone laughed.
I packed my bag and came out while Anant and Mother-in-law were already in the car. I took blessings of mom and dad before going inside.
"Bye! Take care!" I smiled and about to enter when Manprit said.
"Wait!"
"Huh?" I turned back "what?" He didn't said anything but came to me and hugged me tightly.
"Take a good care of yourself, ok stupid? And let me know if you face any problem. Also try to control your sharp tongue and don't make a fool of yourself. I know you're a hopeless idiot but atleast...be safe" he said, digging his head in my shoulder.
"Aw, are you crying, stupid monkey?" I smiled.
"Why will I? I'm just alerting you and who knows that you must fall in trouble as I'm not there" he said as I gave him a fake glare.
"I'm more intelligent than you ok?" I said as we both laughed.
I waved them bye as the driver started the car. My mother-in-law smiled at me as Anant held my hand.
I really feel good now and atleast mom didn't misunderstood me. Come to think of this, that family is not that bad... I'm really lucky to have a strict and understanding mother-in-law and ....a caring husband with helpful co-sister-in-law and a snotty sister-in-law. It was really fun how I went through these days.
Many less people get to experience this tragedy and now I need to get this shits out of my mind and start the new life from beginning.
