Arielle was drained but she couldn't fall asleep.

It wasn't that she wasn't tired but the idea that she would be unconscious next to a man who obviously seemed to have bad intentions didn't sit well with her.

Her eyes drooped but each time, she would pull on the cuff that was starting to form a bruise that formed around her wrist and wake herself up.

The hope she had begun to feel bleaker by the moment. Without a doubt, she knew he could get to her in time, but was it in time to keep her alive or after something had gone wrong?

Her heart sunk wondering what it was like for Sebastian right now.

She was never in a place to worry about others every since she had entered her situation but she couldn't help it.

It was still dark outside, the sun not seeming to come up anytime soon.

Did she put up with to much when it came to Sebastian?

Was it fair that this was happening to them?

Should she have fought harder for a normal life after falling in love with him?

After all, most woman would say they had never been put in a life threatening situation because of love. Yet, Arielle felt suffocated as she seemed to have gone through it every couple of days in the last few months.

The words of her father echoed in her head.

"My little Arielle, are you sure you want me to be the prince?" Her father asked as he fondly watched as his daughter dressed in a gown that had gotten a lot of love in the last few months after she had gotten it as a present.

Arielle pouted, "Of course daddy, why would you ask such a silly question?"

He lightly smacked his forehead before shaking his head, "You're right, I must've been out of my mind. Shall I turn on the music?"

Smiling ear to ear, Arielle nodded estatically, "Cue the music!"

After her father placed a vinyl into the record player, he turned to her and bowed, "May I have this dance Princess Arielle?"

Immediately curtseying she giggled, "Yes, of course Prince Daddy."

Her father grinned and held both of her hands, letting his daughter position her two feet on top of his as he began to take a couple steps and twirl her around the room. Arielle's innocence was worth more than treasure to him as his only daughter.

"Arielle, one day when you meet another prince, make sure he lets you step on his feet too." He joked as he spun Arielle in the air, the room filling with her laughter.

"I don't want another prince!" Arielle protested after coming down and repositioning her feet on top of his again, "Plus your strong Daddy! It doesn't hurt you when I do this! The other boys in my class will cry because they're babies."

Her father shook his head as a hearty laugh escaped, "Princess Arielle, the man who will be your second prince, your backup prince if you will, must treat you like the princess you are, I won't see you settle for less dear."

Not understanding his words fully, she nodded and continued dancing the night away with her father.

"I'll make sure he's the perfect prince for you before I let him be the backup though okay?" He told her, picking the light five year old up into his arms as the song ended.
