A week had passed since the incident.

Despite the fact that they lived under one roof, Arielle stayed occupied with the painting she had yet to complete.

A new piece she had started.

Her heart warmed at each stroke she placed on the canvas.

The warm colors she had put to use illustrated a comfortable scene of two lovers on top of a roof, deeply in love.

Such a simple scene but it she held it close to her heart.

Arielle hadn't known exactly why she had let her fingers paint the scene but it was much more than just a picture.

It was what she wished for her and Sebastian, deep down.

She wanted a life with no worries and nothing to fear.

As the house stayed quiet, her silent tears fell one by one until they turned into sobs.

Desperately, she wished for when a time would come in which she and Sebastian could to lay on a roof in a comfortable silence with no emotion but pure love.

But that was all it was.

Nothing but a painting.

Her thoughts shifted to Sebastian who had spent the majority of the week out at events or working.

Was this always going to be her life?

Alone with all the faith and trust that her lover would stay faithful while he was out with other girls or minding whether or not they were going to participate in a shoot out the next day?

Arielle pushed the thoughts down and dried her eyes.

She wasn't weak.

She was used to it and she would push through just like always.

Sebastian watched as his angel finally took a seat from him across the table.

She was breathtaking in nothing but his shirt and her hair up in a messy top knot.

"Eat up now, the food is going to get cold." She smiled, looking up at him.

He nodded before taking a bite and letting out a groan, "You my dear, are the best cook known to mankind."

She blushed at the compliment but continued to eat and she played footsies with him under the table.

"Stop it!" She chuckled, "We should eat instead of acting like children!"

Her laugh was heavenly, causing Sebastian to release a grin as well.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you Arielle?" He asked her, taking a sip of his wine.

She shook her head as if his constant reminded never once recalled to her memory.

"Well, let me tell you this my love-" He stood up, walking over to the speakers before choosing a song and returning to her.

(Author's Note: start the music here)

Slowly, he offered his hand for a dance.

"A dance?" She asked, "In the middle of dinner?"

"Why of course!" He laughed, his sophistication displayed as he gracefully pulled her from her chair, "When else?"

As the two swayed slowly to the music, he took her beauty in fully.

Never once did she fail to leave him speechless and star struck.

Born on the wrong side of the ocean
With all the tides against you
You never thought you'd be much good for anyone
But that's so far from the truth

I know there's pain in your heart
And you're covered in scars
Wish you could see what I do

'Cause baby, everything you want
Is everything I need
You're everything to me
Baby, every single part
Is who you're meant to be
'Cause you were meant for me
And you're everything I need

"You keep me grounded Ari." He started, dipping her as she gasped.

It was a while since she had danced with him alone like this.

"Your smile managed to warm my heart on days where I forget I have one." He continued, "You love me unconditionally when I am undeserving with all you do for me. I love when you take time out of your day to worry about me and check up even when I can't respond."

He wiped away a tear she shed as they continued dancing.

You can say I'm wrong
You can turn your back against me
But I'm here to stay
(I'm here to stay)
Like the sea
Should keep kissing the shoreline
No matter how many times he pushes her away

'Cause baby, everything you want
Is everything I need
You're everything to me
Baby, every single part
Is who you're meant to be
'Cause you were meant for me

"I love you more than I can put into words because I can vividly remember you not giving up on me once despite our beginning." He smiled, "And most of all, I love you because you are you."

With that, he pulled her into a deep kiss.

A kiss that vanished all their problems that they encountered during their path of loving one another.
But as he pulled away, he looked into her eyes and his heart broke.

She was unhappy.

He knew it.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled as he pulled her close into his embrace.

"For what?" Arielle smiled softly, refusing to let her voice crack.

"I'm truly sorry for putting you through all this." He apologized, "If I could take it away in a heartbeat you know I would."

"Then why don't you?" She faltered, her glossy eyes meeting his.

"If only it was that easy."

Short chapter but it's up!

I hope you all enjoyed this one!

It gives a tiny glimpse into the true hardships of their relationship and how it's truly different and far from what we depict as the 'truest form of love'.

Not every thing we have is easy earned and their love is a prime example.

Thought they are nothing but fictional characters, my heart aches for Arielle who craves the simplicity in loving someone without having to carry a burden on her shoulder as well.

Despite all of that, how did you enjoy this chapter?
Did you like the song choice?

As soon as I heard this song, I knew that it would set a perfect tone for this scene. I may be wrong though.
