"It's been so long since we've got together!" Jasmine squealed.

The comfort of her friend was long overdue and Arielle couldn't bring it to Sebastian to tell him she needed a break.

Not from their relationship, just everything else.

She knew she needed a breather and it wasn't his fault.

"I know." Arielle smiled sadly.

Guilt was something Arielle found difficult to handle at times.

She left her whole life to be with Sebastian and at times, Arielle found herself wondering if she should've fought harder for normalcy.

"Are you okay?" Jasmine asked, taking a sip of her almond latte.

"Yea, just kinda stressed I guess." Arielle shrugged before reaching for her iced tea.

"If anything though, you're figure looked great in that dressed when you were out with Sebastian a while back." Jas complimented, throwing her a wink.

Arielle rolled her eyes but grinned, "Thanks."

"You must really be living the life aren't you?" Jasmine pointed out, "Rich guy, big house, you have all the time in the world and your man literally makes women drool."

"Don't even remind me." Arielle groaned, "Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful and happy right now in a way. Somehow though, I feel like I can be so much happier."

Jasmine nodded, "I mean in a way I can see what you mean; all I could remember since forever was that you wanted nothing more than a simple, uncomplicated life. What you have now, is in a way the opposite of that."

"Yea." Arielle spoke. She was happy that Jasmine could understand her in a way only best friends could.

"I wish you could tell me everything though." Jasmine admitted.

It was hard for Jasmine to help when she couldn't know everything to the full extent of Arielle's situation. At first, it was hard for her to grasp but slowly she understood.

After all, Sebastian was higher up with his social status and had to pick and choose who knew what.

Jasmine slowly came to terms with Arielle's decision to respect that despite her meeting Sebastian a handful of times on brief occasions.

"I know, I'm sorry." Arielle apologized.

There were times which Arielle wished she could just spill and vent all her feelings out to Jas that her life landed her in.

However, it was her guilt in not wanting to burden others with her feelings and opinions that held her back.

"What do these people even want?" Sebastian groaned, listening to Jaxon explain their new, complicated situation.

The meeting room was nearly empty with only Sebastian, Jaxon, and Zach.

Zach Larson was yet another one of the men that worked for Sebastian.

Sebastian admired his dedication as he worked his way up from just his bodyguard to a position as one of the highest ranked men in his security department.

Zach only knew a handful about Sebastian's illegal aspects of things since he started the job but Sebastian trusted him enough to keep him close and in the room as Jaxon reported.

It was always Zach's opinion he valued after Jaxon's.

"Money." Jaxon stated, "Someone is trying to make their way into your document safe in the Catteneo Corp."

"Any leads?" Zach asked, but his question was met with the shakes of Jaxon's head.

"They're good at covering up their tracks." Jaxon commented before turning to Sebastian and pulled out a folder, "But I managed to get a closer look at the case myself and I found some interesting news."

Sebastian grabbed the folder before opening it to find a couple of pictures of some men.

Men he'd met before.

Men that he worked with in the oil and marketing industry.

As he flipped the page, Jaxon continued, "These men were linked to the recent attempts at Catteneo Corp. Though their motives are not confirmed yet, it seems as if they don't just deal with the oil and marketing industry. They have been found to participate within the dealing of opioids and other narcotics."

Sebastian continued flipping through the rest of the folder, "Both of the recent problems that have been showing up have been linked to them. They're hitting you with tactics from the legal and illegal methods."

"Find out who's in charge." Sebastian ordered, "There is someone behind them. Zach, start re-enforcing security around all of our perimeters."

Jaxon and Zach both nodded, waiting for him to continue.

"Set up dinners with each and every one of these men with the reasoning to discuss another deal that I will have presented at the dinner." Sebastian sighed, "Security is tight but hire more men and make sure they're trained enough to stand their ground."

"Let's get this wrapped up as soon as possible." Sebastian grunted before standing up.

Jaxon and Zach stood up as well before they all got ready to leave.

"Sebastian, can I talk to you?" Zach asked, "I just have a couple follow up questions so it's all good Jaxon."

Jaxon nodded before turning and saying 'goodbye', "I guess I'll take my leave then, don't throw a slumber party without me!"

Sebastian rolled his eyes before checking his watch, "So Zach, the follow ups?"

"Jaxon has something to do with this."

Sebastian looked up and dead into Zach's eyes, "Jaxon?"

Zach nodded, "He's up to something. I suggest you keep an eye on him."

Sebastian shook his head, "Jaxon is one of my most trusted men, he wouldn't do that. I have his loyalty, through word and written."

"I saw him looking through some files before I got here, he's up to something." Zach insisted.

"No, Jaxon isn't doing any—" He quickly quieted down as Zach handed out an envelope.

"I have more proof but I don't want to say it aloud. You have to look at it an watch your back, things are just getting started."
