Just as Erica said that, the dog woke up, looking down at the girls.
"Run!" Parker grabbed her friends hand and pulled her back to the door, pulling it open.
Once outside, they both leaned against the door to keep it closed while the dog tried to push it open.
"Next time I'm in charge of directions, alright?" Erica shouted, pushing her full weight against the door.
"Agreed." Parker agreed while they finally closed the door, Parker locking it.
Erica dropped to her knees, breathing heavily as they heard an all familiar meow. Erica looked up and right in front of her face was a messy haired, stone - faced tabby cat.
"..Are we running again?" Parker whispered.
Erica looked up at her friend, scrambled to her feet and grabbed Parker's wrist,"Yes!"
"Ugh, I am so unfit!" Parker groaned while they ran out of the hallway.
Finally, back to the stairways. Erica continued pulling Parker until they reached the bottom of the stairs.
"I think it would be pointless heading to class now, we've missed over half. Maybe we should go back to our dorms?" Erica suggested, seemingly unfazed by their long run.
"Hold on." Parker looked upwards, "Did you see what it was sitting over? Guarding it?"
Erica shook her head,"I wasn't looking at its feet, I was too busy looking at it's heads!"
"It was standing over a trapdoor, which means it wasn't there by accident." Parker informed her, she had obviously annalised the room quickly.
"I mean, why would you keep a giant dog in a school of magic children just for funzies?" Erica asked jokingly.
"I have no clue, this school surprises me everyday." Parker replied, not getting Erica's joke.
Erica sighed and patted Parker on the shoulder,"One day you'll get my jokes but that day is not today."
Parker looked back at Erica, quite confused until she realised, "Oh, you were joking!"
Erica was about to speak again when she heard crowds of students leaving class.
"Welp, I'll see you tomorrow!" Erin said, waving as she walked away.
"Bye Erica!" Parker waved before she ran off to the Slytherin's that were leaving.
Erica followed her fellow Hufflepuffs to the dorm and eventually flopped on her bed.

The day was October 31st, Halloween. It had been a while since the door incident and they were all enjoying the Halloween feast.
"I know it's magic, but how long do you think it takes for them to make this food?" Parker asked her friend.
Parker had made a habit of sneaking over to the Hufflepuff table, she hadn't really made loads of friends at Slytherin.
"I don't really know but Penelope Clearwater told me that elves make it in the kitchens." Erica stated, sipping some of her milk.
Erica had somehow made friends with lots of people from different houses unlike her best friend.
"Her names really nice." Parker nodded, "The elves must be bloody quick."
Erica nodded, taking a bite of her food.
Thats when Parker remembered, "We have an elf. Dobby."
"I wonder if anyone has tried to free the kitchen elves." Erica wondered thoughtlessly.
