Nothing could have prepared me for what happened the day we went into Paris. It started off like the other days on our holiday. It was the second to last day before we came back anyway. We got to the train station next to the Disneyland Park as it went to Paris as well as having the Eurostar there. It was a really cruddy station though. How on earth have they managed to not want to make it look pretty? I mean it was so plain and well concrete. There weren't even pictures of Disney characters on the walls. Ah well, their decision and not mine I guess.

It took about an hour to get into Paris. The train wasn't that badly packed to be honest which wasn't too bad. I hate crowds anyway. I loved Paris just not the amount of people there. We got off at the stop near the Arc de Triumph. It was massive. I'd already been up it twice with my parents though. It has millions and millions of steps. I hate steps and exercise really so it's not a great combination. However, it's a really great view over the rooftops of Paris though. You can see from one side of the city to the other. Of course the Eiffel Tower takes up a lot of it. We walked down the Champs Elysses and looked into the expensive shop windows.

At the other end of the Champs Elysses was a Christmas Market. It was full of food and gift stalls like Swiss Chalets. It was really pretty and definitely Christmasy. We walked past a stall that sold pancakes. They looked really yummy and me and Aston both looked at each other. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Aston asked me. "Oh yeah, definitely." I giggled. We both ordered some. Aston had a banana flavoured one but I had a nutella one with whipped cream on. It was warmed up so it tasted like ferreo rocher. "Mmmm." I smiled as I bit into it. "Yummy?" Aston giggled. I nodded excited as he smiled at me. "Gosh I love you Danie, you silly billy." "I love you too." I smiled back. Just then he put his finger in my whipped cream then put it on my nose. "Much better." He smiled cheekily. "Hey Ast!" I giggled. "I just couldn't help it. It was just too tempting." I looked at him. "Oh gosh." He looked back at me and giggled. I put my finger in the whipped cream and got my revenge on him by putting it on his nose too.

After all those antics we made our way to the Eiffel Tower. Of course we took the lift up it because even looking at the amount of stairs scared the life out of me. I was scared of going too high so we didn't go right to the top. That was alright though because Aston completely understood. But Aston had a surprise for me. I had no idea what was coming though. He took me to the restaurant on the 2nd floor. I looked at Aston in surprise as we arrived there. "No way... are we actually going to eat here?" "Yeah of course we are Danie. Why do you think we're here?" He smiled with a certain twinkle in his eyes. What was going on? Whatever it was I'd decided to dismiss it. He wanted this holiday to special so I guess this was his way of doing that.

We had just finished our lovely but obviously expensive meal when he ordered some more champagne. The next minute he had a beautiful smile on his face and was down on one knee with a blue velvet box in his hand. Inside the box was an engagement ring. Not any normal engagement right though. It was still a really sparkly one but it was in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and with a blue Mickey Mouse in the middle. I gasped and looked at Aston. He had even more sparkle in his eyes now as he looked up at me. "Danie... you know that I love you more than anything in the whole wide world. After everything we've been through I'm just so scared to lose you again. So I want to make sure that we're together forever. Will you marry me?" I looked at him trying not to cry happy tears. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!" I screamed excitedly and jumped on him, hugging him. So that was it. It was official. I was soon to become Danielle Merrygold. Has a nice ring to it don't you think?
