Part 12

Aston hugged me that little bit tighter. In his arms I felt safe like he wouldn't let anything happen to me. I'd only ever felt that with my Mum and Dad before. But it was indescribable. I have no way I can put what it made me feel into words. That's probably why I'm not so good at explaining it so I'm sorry for that. I smiled and looked at him. He smiled back at me with such a wonderful sparkle in those beautiful eyes of his. I wish that moment could be infinite. I kinda guessed it would be in my mind though. I wouldn't forget it easily believe me. I still remember that moment even now.

There was one thing that ruined it though. Me and Aston must have been like that for a while because someone coughed. Thanks for ruining that moment... I never found out which one of my friends did it though, oh well I guess. I let Aston go quickly and looked at the floor awkwardly. "Erm let's go get some food... KFC anyone?" I said quietly. "Yeah come on let's go." Fran, Paige and Sam said positively. How could they be so positive after ruining the most romantic moment I'd ever had in my life? They started walking in the direction of the food court. Aston and me followed quietly like naughty school kids. I broke the silence with a sigh. I could feel his eyes on me but I kept my eyes straight ahead. I was really disappointed.

We got to the food court and got a table. "Us lot will go get some food and when we're back you two can go OK?" Paige asked but was pretty much commanding. I nodded. "Sure OK then." Me and Aston sat down next to each other. There was still an awkward silence until the girls left to join the queue at KFC. "Danie?" Aston said quietly. "Yeah?" I replied and slowly looked at him. "I'm sorry." He looked at me with pleading eyes. He was upset that I didn't say anything after the hug wasn't he? "What for Ast?" "For making that hug so awkward for you." "You didn't I promise. It's just my friends being jealous." "You sure? I don't want to make things awkward for you." His voice was full of concern. I found that so cute that my heart began to melt. Not literally but you know what I mean. "Yes I'm one hundred percent sure Ast." I smiled and he smiled back. "Good. I'm glad I didn't then." He beamed more and I looked at him. His smile was the most beautiful I'd ever seen. It was mesmerising. I couldn't take my eyes off him when he did. It was hard enough for me to anyway but ah well.

I could tell he was hiding something so I stared at him with my intense thinking face. Then everything made sense. Out of nowhere it happened. It happened so suddenly but it seemed to stay for ages. He kissed me. My first kiss. Wow and what a first kiss it was. Mind blowing that's what it was. My mind was spinning. It made sense but yet it didn't at the same time. Here was little 17 year old geeky me being kissed by literally the hottest guy I had ever seen in my whole entire life who was 6 years older. It somehow felt that it was meant to be at the same time. I was on cloud nine and then I heard the sound of trays being put on the table in front of me. They interrupted things again! I pulled away from Aston and looked at him giggling. I couldn't help it, it just seemed to ridiculous for words. He giggled along with me. My friends were looked at us then they just burst out cheering. "Finally!"

With that it meant it was time for me and Aston to go get some food. We got up and then he grabbed my hand so we joined the queue hand in hand. I saw him from the corner of my eyes. He was looking at me with his beautiful smile again. "What?" I giggled as I looked at him. "Thank you... for kissing me back. I wasn't sure if you would." He sounded serious. "Why wouldn't I?" He looked at the floor a little embarrassed. "I didn't know if you liked me back the way I like you." Gosh could this guy get any cuter? "Well I do." I smiled "Now what are you having?" I giggled as he looked up. "Erm I think I'll have the BBQ Rancher Burger with some fries. How about you?" "Oh I'm having the Popcorn Chicken Snackbox." "Ah right OK then. Whatever takes your fancy Danie. Other then me that is." He laughed. Wow well at least he'd got the hint I fancied him then. I laughed too. The way he said it was just so adorable. He was just like me in one way. I'd probably have said that and he always loves to laugh and make people laugh. We got to the front of the queue and went to separate tills. He got his food before me and he waited for me so we could walk back to the table together.
