Friday morning, Jaden busted into my room with a frown on his face, "Youre really not coming to Texas with us?"

I shook my head, "No because I have school on Monday and Tuesday."

He frowned, jumping on the bed next to me, spreading the smell of smoke into my room, "But I want you to come."

Did I forget to mention that Jaden was flirting with me like crazy these past few days? I mean it sucked because I couldn't tell if he was being serious since he had a girlfriend.

"You know, you can miss school for a few days if you really wanted to," Jaden said, tapping my nose. I rolled my eyes, "yeah, but next week is my last week, so I want to be there for my last classes."

"Fine....Can I at least get a hug goodbye?" He asked and I nodded, the both of us standing up.

I wrapped my arms around his waist, causing him to wrap his arms around my neck. I snuggled into the hug a little bit more, causing Jaden to hug me even tighter.

"I'll see you in a few days?" He asked, looking down at me while we were still in the hug.

I nodded, "Don't do anything stupid. I already asked Bryce to not do anything stupid, but that's like asking a tree to move over."

Jaden let out a laugh, and I felt the vibration on his chest, "That was so stupid, but I'll try. No promises, though."

I nodded and pulled away from the hug, allowing him to leave my room.

I'll admit it, I definitely liked Jaden. I just felt terrible about it because him and Mads just started dating, and I didn't want to interfere on their relationship.

But regardless of me liking Jaden, we still have gotten a lot closer recently, and it was fair to say that he almost knew everything about me. That was kind of scary.

Monday morning I was already on my last class before lunch when I received a call. My morning classes were always filled with other students because they were taking them as well, but my afternoon classes was just me and the teacher, so I was able to answer the call without the teacher noticing.

"What's up, Q?" I asked through the phone. Usually
Quinton FaceTimed me so it must've been something important.

"Um, Well, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but before they took Jaden, he asked me to call you so you didn't have to find out through the media," Quinton rambled.

I ran a hand through my hair, "What do you mean 'before they took him'? Who took him?"

"Him and Bryce got arrested," Quinton sighed.

I shot out of my seat, "Are you kidding me? What the hell did they do?"

"We were driving and the police pulled us over, and Bryce had weed on him, and Jaden had some other drugs on him," Quinton said quietly.

"Drugs? Are you freaking kidding me?" I asked angrily, "Are they okay? Are they going to get out soon?"

"Yeah, they just posted the bail and we're all going to split it to get them out," Quinton said, and I heard other people talking in the background.

"Look, I have to get back to class, but text me how much you need me to chip in, okay? I don't care how
much it is," I said, sitting back down in my seat and hoping my teacher didn't notice anything.

"Okay, I'll text you when they're out," he said before ending the call.

I sighed and placed my head in my hands. Of course they couldn't stay away from trouble. What else is new.

Wednesday rolled around quicker than expected, and the boys would be home by dinner time. I finally finished up my last class of the year, and decided to already start cooking.

They boys asked me to order dinner for them since they would be hungry when coming home, but I decided to cook for them since they liked my cooking last time.

Just as I finished setting the table at around 7, I heard the door rustling before the loudness of the boys erupted through the house.

"Oh my good that smells so good!"

"I'm starving!"

"Shit! I know what that is," Anthony yelled, being the first to run into the kitchen. He grinned and gave me a huge hug, "You made the chicken and rice?"

I nodded with a laugh. All of the boys piled in and I have them hugs one by one before they rushed to grab food and sit down.

Eventually Jaden stood in front of me with a grin on his face, "Hi princess." My heart fluttered like crazy, but I stood my ground. I ignored him and made a plate for myself, sitting down next to Anthony and Kio.

Jaden sat down across from me and I could feel him staring at me the whole time we ate. I didn't really care though. He scared the shit out of me, the least he could do was suck it up and deal with the silent treatment for a few hours.

I felt my phone vibrate multiple times in my pocket, so I took it out to see who was texting me.

mase
please talk to me
I'm sorry
I know I scared you
can we please just talk about it?

masey 🤍
wait until everyone's done eating. you can meet me in my room once I'm done cleaning up.

I looked back up and put my phone away, not caring what his response was. I knew he would meet me up the regardless.

Everyone finished about 20 minutes later, so I began to clean up the dishes. Quinton and Anthony both helped me, so I thanked them, even though I didn't really want the help.

To be honest, I was dreading talking to Jaden. I didn't really have a right to be mad at him. My only excuse was that I liked him, so I was nervous that he got arrested, and I could not tell him that.

After we finished cleaning, I headed upstairs to my room, where Jaden was sitting on my bed, bouncing his leg up and down nervously.

When he saw me, he shot up and walked right in front of me, "Look I know I made you nervous, but I don't understand why you're mad at me, Mase."

I frowned, "I know. I took it a little bit too seriously, but you scared the shit out of me, Jaden. That's not okay."

He nodded, pulling me into a tight hug, "I know and I'm sorry. I was so stupid."

I pulled away from the hug and crossed my arms,
"I mean, drugs, Jaden? You're going to ruin your life with that crap."

He stayed silent, but had a grin on his face as he stared into my blue orbs. I rolled my eyes, "What are you smiling about?"

"You didn't curse. Which means that you technically aren't really mad at me," he said with a smirk, knowing that he was right.

I rolled my eyes again, "Correction, I'm not mad enough to be cursing at you."

He laughed and pulled me into another hug, "I missed you, Mase." I smiled and hugged him a little bit tighter, "I missed you too."

He pulled me back a little bit more, laying down on my bed and bringing me with him. I laid on top of him comfortably, "You know, I broke up with Mads while I was in Texas."

My eyes widened, and my hope started to lighten up, "Really? Why would you do that? I thought you liked her."

"I did, but I met this girl recently and I like her way more than Mads, who I've known for a month now. But I'm not too sure if she likes me back," he said, rubbing circles on my back.

I frowned, knowing he couldn't see me. Well, that just shattered my hope again, "I'm sure she does, you never know," I said, trying my best to sound convincing.

"I hope," he said, hugging me a little bit tighter.
