The next morning I woke up with mixed emotions. I was upset that I was leaving my family again, but I was also really happy that I was meeting Jaden's parents for the first time.
I wiggled out of Jaden's grip and got out of bed, heading downstairs. I made myself a coffee and sat down comfortably on the counter. I decided to call Quinton since I haven't really spoken to him in a while.
He answered after the first few rings and groaned, rubbing his eyes, "Good morning."
I grinned, "Morning sunshine."
"How's Texas?" He asked sleepily, sitting up in his bed a little bit more. I smiled, "I love it here, but at the same time I can't wait to see you guys."
Quinton nodded, "It's so boring without you here, Mase. The guys and I have literally just been sleeping around and being lazy."
"What can I say?" I asked teasingly.
"I actually think Blake misses you the most," he said with a shrug, "I mean, you two got so close after we stopped being friends for a little."
And it was true. Me and Blake definitely got a lot closer, and I was really happy about that. I mean, I loved Blake like a brother.
I talked to Quinton for a little bit more before eventually hanging up and deciding to go upstairs to make sure I had all of my things.
When I went to my room, Jaden was scrolling through his phone, a tired look on his face. When he saw me he looked up and smiled, "Good morning, baby."
I smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek, "Morning." I walked around to the other side of the bed and began taking out my outfit for the day before packing everything else.
Once Jaden and I got dressed for the day, we headed downstairs with our luggage, meeting my mom, Jordan, and Corbyn in the living room.
My mom frowned and stood up when she saw us, "I can't believe you two are already leaving. It feels like you two just got here," she said, wrapping both Jaden and I in a big hug.
Jaden smiled, "I'm gonna miss you guys. I feel like I've known you guys for a while now and I've only been here for 3 days."
My moms eyes watered, "Stop it, I'm gonna cry," she said, making me laugh.
I placed my arm around her shoulder, "C'mon, we still have to go eat before we leave, just don't think about it."
She just nodded, and with that we headed off to brunch.
———The sadness definitely started to kick in after we got back to my moms house and the Uber was waiting for us.
Jaden spoke to my brothers while my mom pulled me in for a hug, "I'm so proud of you sweetheart. Remember I'm only a call away and you can come back home whenever you want."
I nodded and squeezed her back a little tighter. She pulled away and looked me in the eye, "If I'm being honest, I slightly judged Jaden by his appearance at first and thought he was going to be a bad person. But now, I think he's perfect for you, Mason. He treats you the way you should be treated."
i felt my eyes water and I pulled my mom in for one last hug, "I love you."
"I love you too sweetie."
I then turned to Corbyn who already had his arms out, "I'm gonna miss you, loser," I said, reaching up and roughing his hair up.
He smiled, "Be safe, okay?"
I nodded and then moved to Jordan, giving him a tight hug as well, "You have to call me more, okay?" He nodded with a frown, "Love you, kiddo."
