She Knows The Future ( L Lawliet x Reader )

Returning to the Task Force

The streets were cold as I walked them. It was snowing lightly but not enough to keep traffic stuck on the road. I stopped walking when I saw the Task Force building in front of me. I took a deep breath before I walked to the front doors. 

   ' They should still have my fingerprint in the system. '

I put my finger on the scanner and it recognized it. I was able to walk through the lobby without any trouble. I could only guess where they were so I walked to the elevator and pressed the familiar button. The elevator started moving and it took me to the main room for observation. When I left the elevator and into the room, everyone turned their heads towards me. I smiled at their stunned faces.

   " Hey, guys. You look like you've seen a ghost. "

   " Y/n! "

Matsuda ran to me and enveloped me into a hug. I hugged him back missing his bear hugs. He pulled away and Aizawa was the next to hug me. I noticed Ide standing up and only nodded at him. He nodded back and then Light gave me a big hug. He held me tightly against him. 

   " We thought you were dead. "

   " Sorry to disappoint you but I'm still alive. "

   " How did you survive the explosion? "

   " Mello kept me safe. Then he took me to the SPK. I've been there ever since. "

   " So you were in Manhatten for a while until the building was being invaded and came to Japan? "

   " Correct. "

   " Has anything changed? "

   " A couple of things. But they weren't too major. "

   ' If you count saving L small. '

   " I'm glad you're back. You know about Takada then? "

   " I do. " 

   " Great. We don't have to explain anything. "

I nodded and separated from Light. I grabbed Aizawa's sleeve and pulled him aside. We walked away from the others and I started to whisper to him.

   " Aizawa you're doing a great job so far. "

   " I am? "

   " Yes, you are pertaining to the story and you're staying on track. There was one change and that was your meeting with Near. "

   " I was supposed to meet Near? "

   " Yes, you were supposed to meet Near and talk with him physically about your suspicions that Light was Kira. But it seems you've done that over the phone instead. "

   " I'm sorry. "

   " It's fine. Nothing was caused by that little change so it's okay. I just wanted to say you're doing a good job. I love the haircut too. "

   " Thank you. "

I hugged him once more and walked back to the others. I stood beside Light's monitors and watched him work. I noticed he was typing something on a document. No one else was looking over at us. 

After we are done here I want you to come with me to my place. We need to talk. 

I whispered a small okay. I walked back to the elevator and traveled to my floor. Lawliet made me my own floor for me to stay in whenever I wanted. I basically lived here. When I got to my room I opened the door and felt the nostalgia hit me like a truck. I smiled and laid on my bed.

( Flashback )

   " R-Ryuzaki? "

   " Why are you stuttering? "

   " This situation is embarrassing. You're really close and the others are probably watching on the security cameras you have in the room and-"

My breath hitched as he got closer to my face. His face was so close to mine that if I tilted my head upward our noses would be touching.

   " Then let them watch. "

He put his hand behind my neck and pulled me even closer to him. Our lips connected and fireworks exploded. My eyes fluttered closed and I melted into the kiss. His other arm held my uninjured waist gently as if I would break, and continued to kiss me. I kissed him back and rested my arms on his. We continued to kiss a little while longer before he pulled away. I opened my eyes and they stared into his black orbs. 

( Flashback Over )

I smiled at the memory of my first kiss with Lawliet. My room door opened and Light stood in the doorway.

   " It's time to go. "

I nodded and stood up from the bed. I followed him out of the building and to his apartment he shared with Misa. When he unlocked the door he let me walk through first. He shut the door behind himself and locked it. He took his jacket off and set his keys on the counter. He walked to me and pulled me in for a warm embrace.

   " It's so good to have you back Y/n. I thought you were dead. When we didn't hear anything back from you after the explosion I was so afraid you died. "

   " I thought I was dead but I escaped with only a few burns. Those are healed up now, so I'm fine. "

   " You don't know how terrifying it was. "

   ' Wow, Kira was terrified. I'm surprised. '

   " I'm fine now Light. "

   " I know but I'm just so glad you are okay. "

He pulled his head away and leaned his forehead on mine. He had a small smile on his face. I felt sweat start to form on the side of my head. I didn't want Light to kiss me or anything to that effect. I only came back to observe them and make sure everything goes right. Not to make out with Kira. 

   " Misa's contained. "

   " Yes? "

   " Do you know what that means? "

   " That it's just us? "

   " Exactly. You've always been so smart, Y/n. "

   " Light, what are you implying here? "

I moved away from him a little and we were at forearm distance from each other. 

   " I'm just saying we can act like a couple now that she isn't here. "

   " Light you do know that this is still wrong. You've got Misa and Takada on strings while I'm just on the side. "

   " Because I want you. Not them. They are just pawns in my game, nothing more. I've told you this. "

   " I know, but..."

   " Look since you just got back let's just rest tonight okay? "

   " Light I have an apartment I can go to, so I'll just go home. "

   " Just stay here. It's really late anyway. "

   " Light..."

He just held my hand and pleaded with me. I noticed he had a pen in his hand and I remembered he still had a piece of the Deathnote in his watch. I sighed and nodded my head. He smiled and took moth of my hands, tossing the pen on the couch. We walked towards his room that he shared with Misa. Light took off his belt and jumped into bed. He sighed against the pillows and blankets. I only sighed before I laid on the bed beside him. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me against his chest.

  ' I'm sorry Lawliet. Forgive me. '

I started to feel tired as I yawned against Light. 

   " Go to sleep, my dear. "

   " That's the plan, Kira. "

I closed my eyes and felt myself drift off. While being held tightly by Light.
