Ending the Plan Pt. 2

   " Ryuzaki I know you've been hearing the bells all day and that their ringing is getting louder. So, my time gap to get this done is closing. I need you and Watari to trust me one last time and listen to me. "

They both nodded their heads.

   " Good. Watari I know there is a button in here to delete the data from the system. Where is it? "

   " Right here. "

He pointed to a red button on the back of his monitor.

   " Alright, is there any way for you to save the data onto a flash drive or CD disc? "

   " I have a copy right here. "

He held a flash drive in his hand and I nodded at him. I took his hand and pulled him out of the chair. I set the criminal down on the chair and faced him towards the many screens. 

   " If your chest starts to hurt really bad, press that button. "

   " O-Okay. "

   " Ryuzaki how loud are the bells now? "

   " They are getting louder and louder by the second. "

   " Alright, my time gap is about to close. Is there anywhere in this tower you both could hide without anyone knowing? "

   " There isn't. I made sure that this building would have cameras in every corner and we could monitor every floor for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. "

   ' Shit. '

   " Alright, take this money and head to a hotel far from here. It doesn't matter where it is but you need to make sure that you are far from the Task Force building and neither of you can leave the room. Here is some extra cash for room service. "

I handed them at least 21,547.30 yen. Lawliet put the money in his pocket and walked up to me.

I hugged the both of them one last time and they disappeared out of the door. I waited a couple of more minutes and I saw Rem appear behind me. I had informed the criminal over the walkie talkie what to say so he was fine now on his own. I looked at Rem and did the best acting I could do.

   " Rem, please. "

I touched the paper to the criminal a long time ago and told him to freak out like an old man would.

   " Can't I convince you to not do this? "

The criminal was now turned around and cowering behind me while leaning on the table. His hand was hovering over the button to press. His face showed fear and worry as he stared at the shinigami in front of us, but he didn't say a word.
