Keigo found himself lazily flying behind the tavern, he didn't want to risk flying out to far away or to high up. Who knew how many people would want him for his wings. His people had already made the mistake of thinking lowly of humans. He stared up at the sky, so much had happened in so little time but even during that time it felt like the first time he'd felt anything in so long. His hand subconsciously touched his neck a reminder of tbe freedom he'd been gifted, a freedom and privilege he was sure others like him didn't have. A saddened smile spread on his face as he watched the stars, he couldn't complain he'd met you. You'd reached out a soft hand even if you were going to use him to kill, Damn he sure as hell wouldn't mind. He could see it the stress and tired expression you wore, it was so clear to him yet he turned a blind eye. He watched how the other followed you without hesitation, that was what convinced him you weren't so bad. Sudden movement made him tense up as he was quick to hold out his blade.
"Whose there?!",he called out
"I-It's me Yaoyorozu, I'm (y/n)'s friend",the girl called out as she approached a basket in her hands,"I've come to leave you food, (y/n) is currently bathing."
He watched her set the basket down, never once lifting her gaze. He took her appearance in, she didn't appear as someone who would be part of a form of revolution she looked like any other rich kid. Then again being a rich kid was a way she was helping. There was a mix of curiosity, and fear on her face but she didn't say or ask anything.
"Aren't you curious why a freak such as I, would be traveling with her?",he couldn't help ask
She tensed up,"The company she chooses to travel with isn't my business. You scare me but I won't question my friends",she finally looked up but instead her face was filled with determination.
He smiled, he liked this girl. He flew over to her and watched her flinch. Taking the basket softly from her.
"You're a good girl, keep up the hard work",he grinned,"But tell me how do you help them?"
"I-We make them weapons".
"We?"
"Yes, uh-would you like to see?",he nodded.
She lead him to a giant building not fsr down the street,"This is where we manufacture everything, come in."
Inside were dozens of tables, each one had paper scattered everyone, metal pieces and so many different tools scattered around. He let out a low whistle as he flew around.
"I can't fight like the others, but I can help this way",she spoke softly
He stopped, she wore an expression of dissatisfaction. She had made so many cool things but she was doubting herself.
"I think you're really amazing, fighting isn't always the only way to help. Had it Not been for you I'm guessing the team wouldn't have made it so far. So be prouder",he smiled softly
She nodded and went back inside the tavern. He took it upon himself to settle on the rooftop, where he'd have a good view of the area below without being seen. The air was fresh, and the towns light made it into a sea of stars. He leaned back closing his eyes. His clothes raffling up with, how he wished to go back to his old clothes but that would only expose him further not to mention they'd get damaged in all tbe fighting.
"Wait up idiots!",a rough voice suddenly yelled out
He looked down and could see a spiky blonde kid, with that Todoroki and two others. One with red spiky hair and the other green hair.
"K-Kacchan don't yell",the green one called out nervously
"Oh shut it! Whose gonna hear us?!"
"If you keep it up the whole town",the red head laughed
"Guys let's get this done with",Todoroki spoke softly
Curiosity ate at him, so he allowed himself to jump down,"Hey kids!"
"Oh hey!",the red head grinned,"You must be Keigo"
"How you know my name?",He chuckled
"I was there when we set you out that cage, I'm Kirishima!"
"Thanks kid anyway where are you guys off to?",he asked
"We've got a mission",the green haired piped up
"Oh really? What are yo-",a hand stopped him
"Sorry but Midoriya has already said it's a mission",Todoroki spoke up his eyes narrowed
"Alright, I was just curious don't get so ruffles up",he held his hands up
"Sorry Sir",they all walked away leaving him alone
He watched them until their silhouettes disappeared from his view. They were still kids, you wouldn't image they had suffered with those cheerful faces. They looked like a regular group of kids out for a night of shenanigans.
He still remembered the nights where he'd go out to fly with his friends. The way his mother would call him down and take him home to eat food. Oh god how he missed the days where his only worries were about whether he'd have to many chores to be able to play or not. He closed his eyes, and felt his heart drop. The days he spent captured were more than the days he spent at home, he knew this because each time he called for memories of his friends or families, their faces were blurred and a hollow emptiness filled him.
Atleast there wings could take them anywhere on this planet. Up there they had each other. He softly reached a hand out, even without chains physically retraining him. He felt as if he could never be fully free, and who was he to complain he'd taken those lives. He deserved this, He deserved all the bad that would come to him, he'd allow himself to sink into the darkness and it consume him.
"Hey!",he turned towards the voice as a bright light shined on him
You stood there a smile softly placed on your face as you looked at him. His eyes watered ever so slightly. Why did you do that? Why would you reach out such a soft hand, and look at him as if he...were a person and not a bloody murder.
"Lets go, its cold here",you softly called out, you turned the lantern in your hand swinging softly from side to side.
"Hey (y/n)",he called out
You stopped and turned to face him,"What is it?"
"Am I needed?"
You stared confused and smiled softly at him,"Of course, now hurry up the others are waiting."
He didn't feel satisfied with just that mere answer. God why was he questioning himself now? He should've questioned himself months ago when he first had to spill blood. He watched your retreating figure, he remembered the nights you'd sneak into talk to him to keep him company. What if they caught him again and was forced away again.
No! Don't turn away...because you'd be taking your warm light His body moved and his arms wrapped themselves around you
